My money’s on “after careful consideration, and in light of the deals offered by Brussels, it’s not in the interest of the country to invoke article 50” sometime around November. Maybe calling a general election, and she might even sling her hook for someone like Crabb to take over, if she’s a political sacrifice, just being thrown under the bus to scupper democracy ![]()
OVLOV JAY:
Well this has been a complete remain mp’s stitch up. I think Gove was a planted remainer all along, and when he failed, they went for Leadsoms throat. Unless May invokes article 50 by Friday, which she won’t, she’ll be a sitting duck. The best we can hope for is that she calls a ge, and ukip can organise themselves in time to force a coalition. I think today spells the end for brexit, barring a miracle
I think you might be naively over estimating the motives of the Eurosceptics within the Cons and UKIP.
IE as Rjan says their agenda was all about leaving the EU to undercut the Chinese at their own game in a race to the bottom freer markets free for all. They’ve ended up with a much larger Ken Clarke supporting Conservative Europhile referendum vote than they bargained for together with a large Labour Eurosceptic vote that’s based on UKIP’s bs claims of anti immigration and protectionist economic policy.
Without a massive change in the Labour Party to reflect that change to a Nationalist Labour,as opposed to the Socialist/Blairite Europhile pro immigration alliance Labour,Brexit was sunk from the time the referendum results were called. When people like Hannan and Redwood and even Farage etc suddenly realised that it was based on a Labour Eurosceptic protectionist swing vote as opposed to Conservative ‘freer’ markets one. ![]()
On that note prepare to be stitched up with the inevitable EEA member state agenda that unites both Eurosceptic freer markets and Europhile Federalist sides of the Cons. ![]()

The Establishment don’t like to lose, so when the people reject the Establishment, the Establishment resigns . . . and is replaced by the Establishment!I have no time for Theresa May, she is part of the Establishment that I despise. This has been a stitch-up of mega proportions from the moment we ‘voted the wrong way’. Both Johnson and Leadsom would have been voted in by the Tory membership, but they weren’t the leader the Establishment wanted. Hence . . .
Cameron has announced that May will be the new PM by Wednesday evening. She won’t be a laissez-faire free market liberal. She’ll be more comfortable in the political centre, stealing any Labour clothes she thought would suit her. May is just Cameron in a skirt.
So essentially the referendum result has been overturned via the backdoor, a Remain PM with a Remain government. Already Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond has stated that we have to remain in the single market for access to services. But May has one big problem; the longer she leaves it without an announcement on Article 50 the more unrest there will be at having been robbed. And no-one within the Conservative party will be happy if she negotiates a deal suitable to the EU apparatchiks but loses the next election.
The absolute minimum acceptable would be an announcement at the Tory party conference in October that Article 50 would be invoked before January is out. I won’t hold my breath!
Assuming article 50 just ends up replacing EU with EEA,which is realistically as far as Cameron will allow it to go,exactly how would that meet the Leave manifesto promises ?.On that note she’s already put the word out that article 50 is on the table around December. As for UKIP I think Farage was always part of this stitch up which is why he’s now walked away to allow May and Cameron to set the agenda just as they would have done if remain had won.

^ This.Except there will be no ‘deals’ offered by Brussels. But at least what that will do is show up the whole rotten stinking undemocratic zb pile that is the EU and its supporters for what it is and hopefully galvanise the Leave vote into helping people like Le Pen smash it from within in the form of a Confederal Europe based on Nationalist MEP’s.From the moral high ground of already having had a proven a rigged electoral process used against it.Both in our case and in the case of the Austrian elections. In which case that’s my ‘preferred’ option than EEA membership. It’s also why I think that EEA is still a likely candidate based on that realisation among the Europhiles in parliament. ![]()
As for what’s going on with our so called ‘democratic’ process. It seems to have the grubby paw prints of what China’s Communist Party rulers want not what the electorate vote for, with typical Communist type establishment tactics to suit when the vote goes the wrong way.

And everyone who voted leave after this farce by the Tories is supposed to just accept that they have been denied their democracy by the establishment and walk away peacefully and continue working paying taxes for that pond life in government ?, I don’t think that it will be accepted at all without some serious trouble that won’t fade quickly
Those who voted leave ,and leave won, that means we leave the EU no ifs and buts about it ,it isn’t negotiable that was the vote result, leave, only a moron on a suicide mission would go against that, IMO it’s time the people really taught government and the establishment a few lessons, Government ministers are there to work for the people, time they either did that or ■■■■■■ off out of politics , and those ■■■■■ like branson kept their beaks out
Government hasn’t worked for the people since the late 60’s early 70’s. I’ve formed the opinion that most of the tories are europhiles, with stooges like Gove and Grayling put in to control the leave campaign. Leadson and Boris have been subjected to the daggers that have now hit all 17m brexiters.
They never thought the peasants would get off there arses and vote leave, and I’m still adamant it was a much bigger margin, heavily watered down in the knowledge remain wouldn’t take a small defeat.
Cameron should have stayed neutral, declaring no opinion so he could do his duty and carry out the mandate of the people. This whole event has been turned into a debacle by an establishment hell bent on tearing up democracy. It’s a sad day. I just hope if Aaron Banks does start a new party, it will be able to appeal to the masses and hopefully reshape the corrupt system
The police and forces turning on the zb’s would at least help.

I can actually remember telling a few Leave campaign leaders locally that the Conservative ‘Eurosceptics’ not removing Cameron ‘before’ the referendum said everything about the level of their commitment and ‘scepticism’.
As for trust in any new Party with any links to the financial/banking sector. My trust in that regard evaporated with Farage having told Le Pen to do one and then confirming my worst doubts in that regard.
This was rightly a Labour vote based backlash, against the exploitative Free Markets and Socialist establishment agenda and it needs to be reflected in a new Nationalist/Protectionist Labour breakaway group to reflect that vote.Especially when Labour as it stands is just a hijacked joke of a Party split between the Blairites and Corbynites with Corbyn at least subverting the democratic process by not standing where he belongs within Socialist Labour. ![]()

Exactly.Which is why I’d guess we’re now better off staying in and trying to destroy the EU with a Europe wide Nationalist agenda working from within.
Which leaves the question why was Farage so keen on returning the argument to the Europhile National parliament instead of taking up Le Pen’s offer in that regard ?.

It sounds confusing.IE the reason why the initiative has been handed by Cameron to May is ‘because’ of the majority Europhile Conservative group and vote. While the so called Eurosceptics obviously lost interest when it became clear that it was a protectionist nationalist Labour backlash against the EU and Blairite/Socialist Labour Europhile agenda.IE even the so called ‘Eurosceptics’ within the Cons now view Brexit as a threat to the Party and of no further use to them,as opposed to an asset. At least in the form of anything more than EEA member state. We can obviously add Farage and UKIP to that agenda. ![]()
The only question then being ‘what’ and ‘who’ has silenced the Labour Eurosceptic group ?. ![]()

That would be counter productive and would solve nothing. While calling on the support of Le Pen and Nationalist groups across Europe,on the basis of loss of confidence in our domestic government and its subversion of the democratic process here, added to the situation of the Austrian election fiasco, might be a different matter. ![]()

Statement: the status of EU nationals in the UK - GOV.UK good to know.
As far as im aware there was never any intention of sending any of them home, but any changes will apply to those who want to come here, also a higher likely hood of those who came here to commit crime being deported following conviction , those who don’t have work could also be deported as they would end up with no money on the streets as out of work and in work benefits could be stopped
