Now if a country would be part of a group, it would get to argue about the rules, make decicio s about the rules, and possibly be big enough to get a veto option, to stop any one of the other countries from taking over…Can you imagine any country having such a position, and then throwing it all away, in a hissy fit??
Firstly the VETO only applies to certain decisions not all.IE not the inconvenient stuff like free movement etc. 
While a VETO obviously isn’t the right tool for every scenario.In which a large group of members would prefer to do something while a smaller group or even just one would prefer to do something else ( such as the free movement issue ).In which case opt out or substitution is the right solution in that case.None of which is a guaranteed provision within the treaties which it should be.Not surprisingly because the dictatorial Federalists,being dictatorial Federalists,don’t want that type of arrangement.
While if you’re telling the truth about what you’re calling for you’d be agreeing with me that the EU constitution needs to be changed to a Confederal system not a Federal one which would provide for all those essential options while a Federal one obviously won’t.While there’s no way to make that change without the member states all seceding from the existing treaties thereby smashing the EU to create the necessary totally different new ones to create the new CSE which you’re ( supposedly ) describing instead.
I’ll await your answer to all that with interest.It’s my guess that isn’t your agenda at all.Because if it was you’d have no problem with our secession from the existing treaties,let alone every other member state.Which is what it would actually take to get the job done in making the change from Federation to Confederation.
Ditching “Free Movement” is a matter of political will. Our government has the mandate for it now.
I suggest our government implements border controls asap. If the EU decides to “punish” us by effectively imposing a trade embargo upon us at that point - then “act of war” aside, we can manage quite well on our own.
If something “cannot be negotiated” such as “Freedom of movement” - we should impose it upon THEM and take the initiative.
For all we know - we are days away from a Turkey-style terror attack upon US - if we don’t get that bloody drawbridge up…
There’s NO WAY we should have to wait another two years just to shut our door FFS. Who runs this country anyway? 
Initial “controls” only need consist of arresting at point of entry into the UK
(1) No speke English/without Papers
(2) Trafficed Persons

It’s safe to believe that most illegal immigrants come into this country via “Surface” route rather than in an aircraft’s undercarriage or even overstaying a visa having flown in legit to start with.
Teams of immigration offiicers need to start making snap inspections of likely harbourers of such people.
Remember: This is not a race or nation issue - it’s about lack of credentials and intent. These people are criminal upon arrival - and should be treated as such.

Not only this but those illegals are not refugees and should not be treated as such, deported back to the country they were in prior to the uk without access to the tribunal service for appeals they lost any right they had the moment the entered the uk illegally, those found in lorries could be deported within days, do this hardline approach and their numbers would decrease quickly, as their quests would be futile, but we need more border guards ASAP to patrol the English channel as well as at the ports and crappy tunnel

The free movement issue goes a lot further than just ‘illegals’.It covers everything from East European economic migration to hostile invasion and/or demographic takeover dressed up as ‘refugees’.
On that note it would be naive to think that Brexit isn’t being delayed to appease a combined agenda of numerous self interest groups.Ranging from the East Euro free movement one,to others wanting to add to their demographic and their bleeding heart and/or Socialist revolutionary sympathisers here.
