Which part of the definition of ‘net contributor’ to the amount of many more billions than that PER YEAR don’t you understand.IE big deal they’re just giving us a small amount of our own money back.
On that note you do realise that Liam Fox represents a large rural vote.

Well we will see what kind of competitive economy you will have post Brexit if you choose to leave. You think you gonna have this billion in first place and even if you have them, are you sure Downing street will send them when they are needed. Cant see UK government helping the agricultural businesses with 5 billion a year.
fullfact.org/economy/our-eu-mem … 5-million/
You must be rich man CF, if 6 billion a year(4,5b EU direct + 1.4b for science) combine with the rebate of 7 billion…
You net contribution is 8,5 billion, hardly will make any difference to EU budged if you stop it.

Interesting debate and many good points made by both sides. Personally I favour staying in a strong, prosperous, moral united Europe but I do appreciate the Brexite’s yearning for the excitement for “paddling our own canoe”. My username was chosen at random and has no significance.

Which if that is what Europe is or becoming then that is fine the euro and refugee crisis has shown Europe weak and lacking leadership which has allowed Germany to dominate on both of these problems. Prosperous, Europe is the only economic region in the world that has stagnated over the last 10 years yes even in Africa living standards have risen faster than Europe’s. The subject of morality is even more of a joke the way multi national corporations have been allowed to avoid paying there way in Europe aided and abetted by Claude Juncker when he was the president of Luxembourg and now as president of the EU is hardly going to push to clear up that mess. On the subject of taxation is it moral that you pay VAT on your energy needs yet business doesn’t, how does that help the poor of Europe?
The government of the UK whichever party is in power is never going to perfect but at least after 5 years you can get rid of it, can anyone tell me when the election was for Juncker.

I don’t intend to answer derogatory comments with hateful remarks. The least decent thing you can do is start sentence and given name with capital letter.
Again absurd law from Downing street, like the one with non EU spouses to British citizens.

The problem being that your idea of ‘moral’ and ‘united’ means undemocratic federal dictatorship by Polish/East German Socialists like zb Merkel and people like Junker for example. With a zb wit socialist immigration policy to match.
While moral and ‘united’ would obviously by definition mean ‘unanimity’ and/or national sovereign government democratic consent regarding the decision making process. That means a Confederal Europe not a Federal one.The fact is wars have rightly been fought over the issue of the defence of the right to self determination and national sovereigny and this Federalist cluster zb will be no different if the zbwits among the in campaign don’t back down and see sense in that regard.IE this isn’t just an argument of in the EU or out it’s an argument between a Federal Europe as opposed to a Confederal one based on the idea of the rights to state sovereignty and democratic accountability.
The fact that the in campaign has no intention of going for the Confederal Europe idea just proves that we’re actually dealing with a Socialist Federalist takeover and infiltration of the European government system. With so called Cons like Cameron happy to go along with it just so long as they see a cheap labour angle there.Just like in the case of their appeasement of Chinese Communism.

Thats right Dolph, dodge the question. I will answer for you. Bulgaria (Using 2013 data) payed in just shy of 0.5 billion Euros and received back just short of 2 billion Euros. telegraph.co.uk/finance/fina … -know.html
Its the like of backward country’s like Bulgaria that are sucking the blood out of the Northern Euro countries…not just the UK but France, Italy and the Dutch… countries that I suspect can ill afford to bolster East/Southern Europe’s dreams!
Pre rebate figures are given here…
statista.com/statistics/3166 … ributions/
that show the UK (before our rebate) contributes 12.57% of the total EU budget compared to the paltry 0.33% (pre rebate) that Bulgaria pays!!
VOTE OUT!!!

Or Poland.By 2014 figures it took out around 17.5 Billion Euros and put in 3.5 Billion. With ‘transport’ being stated as one of its main economic GDP contributors.
IE we pay a fortune in net contributions so that Poland can invest it in its road transport industry thereby putting ours out of the frame.Let alone if/when we get hit with East Euro cabotage thereby taking out our domestic running fleet in addition to the international one.
And who advocated Eastern European countries be accepted in EU, United Kingdom did. We didn’t force our self in, you invited us and accepted us, now bare the cost. Who destroyed the old way system(Soviet), you did, now you complain of EE migration. Its not Bulgaria or Poland fault for receiving EU money, you and the other countries you mention gave us this money.
Its like inviting child in a candy store, buying him candy, then complain the child ate it. Its idiotic.
You want out, OK leave, but don’t blame us for being a member in a club you(T.Blair Government) invited and subsequently accepted us, don’t blame us for spending money you gave us.
Interestingly how good your economy was going to be without EU 45 years ago…how many of you know/remember UK economy in late 60’s?

Dolph you need to understand that you can’t lump the whole UK electorate in with the Europhile Blair and Cameron agenda. In the case of EU enlargement ( and Federal v Confederate Europe ) you’re dealing with an establishment agenda ( in this case largely US zbwit geopolitics ) v the rightful expectations of the electorate that firstly we don’t want to follow the dictatorial undemocratic US type Federal system of government and we don’t want to subsidise Eastern Europe to pay for idiotic US geopolitics and its being taken advantage of,both politically and economically by East European Socialists like Merkel. On that note we didn’t get a referendum on EU enlargement nor did the government explain its costs honestly,if at all,to the electorate in either case.On that note the analogy would actually be inviting a child to a candy store then telling it that everything in the shop is free because someone else will pay for it.All so that America could move NATO up to Russia’s borders. The difference in this case being that the so called ‘child’ was actually an adult and more than old enough to realise there’s no such thing as a free lunch and was just trying to act stupid in hoping the Western electorate would be stupid enough to fall for their governments’ corruption in that regard.
On that note as I’ve said yes it would help if more people were around who could remember a pre EEC membership environment here.Trust me it was just fine to the point where I wish that I’d been born around 15-20 years or more sooner.

If ya that good, come here and tell Mr. Cameron then. I remember the 1970’s referendum. The only beneficiaries are stinking rich capitalists.

To be fair pre EEC Britain was closer to the ideal of Fordist Capitalism.IE don’t confuse the wrong type of Capitalism with all Capitalism = bad.
Assuming it’s going to be an above board un rigged referendum count the Europhile establishment will be zbing themselves if they think that the Labour vote is going to turn against Corbyn and Blair and go with Hoey.
To be fair Dolph has a point, our own electorate voted Blair’s (£70million socialist ) ludicrous mob into majority 3 times
, yes i know it barely seems believable now, and our self same (presumably masochistic) electorate have put his son Cameron in twice
, which is just about as barmy.
No, people like us didn’t, but enough people were bought (with their own money ) brainwashed blackmailed propagandised and browbeaten by a political class and their cohort media chums into believing the spin and voting as they were told, and they’ll do the same again in this referendum i fear.
There are more people who didn’t vote for them of course, but the silent majority are divided and bickering, happy with their handouts or confused or just downright disinterested, and if they can’t be arsed to combine and vote against a ruling class that are basically traitors and giving their country away and should actually be swinging from lamposts instead of milking the fatted cow, then more fool them.
I’m afraid we as a nation have got the government we deserve, we as a nation haven’t got the ■■■■■■■■ to even vote to take our country back nor to get off our arses and physically stop it being handed to the fourth reich without a bloody shot being fired, those who went before us and made the ultimate sacrifice defending this once Jerusalem would be ashamed of us.

Yes, though some things needed sorting out at the time, as with everything in Britain we can’t have a happy middle road its one extreme or the other.
She managed to preside over the biggest closure of manufacturing industry in this country, as well as doing the good old tory double shuffle of appearing to hate the EU yet getting further into bed with it continually.
Sold off most of the family silver to make the figures look good, ■■■■■■ north sea oil/gas up the wall, and what she didn’t manage to flog good old Lucifer Blair and his idiot sidekick Broon did.
It’s all over mate anyway, there is no way of recovering from the combination of efforts of the traitorous swine over the last 40 years, we have a national debt that cannot be paid even at current interest rates, when not if we get huge interest rate rises it won’t only be the idiot Brit public who’ve been borrowing money my the £billion again despite all the knowledge available to them of what can happen, we’re all buggered due to the sheer unimaginable collossal debt nationally.
To me the main reason for leaving the EU is to regain some vestage of national pride, independance, to be able to rule ourselves whilst our sinking ship slides under the waves.
gazsa401:
And it all started with Thatcher who created a I’m all right Jack society
In the case of the EU stitch up it was actually Heath in 1973.
Followed by Wilson in 1975.When,instead of doing the opposite to what Heath did,by listening to the big hitters within the Party like Benn and Shore and Heffer etc and taking us out without a referendum the useless Europhile waste of space, together with his Europhile supporters like Healey and Jenkins walked into Thatcher’s Europhile trap of a typically one sided establishment driven in campaign and, with it,an equally discredited,so called ‘referendum’ result. With the handing over of British industry and sell out of British workers to the Germans having started well before 1979.
On that note and contrary to Juddian’s pessimistic view there’s still time to turn the sinking ship around and get it back into dry dock and fix it.While fittingly in this case it is the Labour vote that holds all the required cards in whether we can do it,by first getting out of Heath’s and now Cameron’s and Merkel’s scam,or not.The choice in that case being either follow Hoey and Benn and Shore and Heffer before her.Or follow Blair and his Wilson and the Jenkins and Healey and Thatcher in campaign alliance before him.
‘If’ that vote can be swung the right way that would be more of a political earthquake to the establishment than Farage could ever have dreamed of.Thereby putting us on the road to the protectionist trade policies which we’re going to need to save the economy.
Oh look Blair’s moaning because the out campaign isn’t going to be the pushover this time that it was in 1975.
