In or out of EU ? Poll

Winseer:
It would seem that 16-17 year olds are going to get a vote on this forthcoming referendum…

The in campaign wants to lower the voting age for the referendum because, unlike in 1975,it’s betting ( probably rightly ) on the idea that most of today’s youth are a bunch of easily led subservient robots who’ll vote how the establishment tells them to vote.

Carryfast . i think flip flopping between marx and fordism has left you confused .

It is not the case that taking immigrants from asia is ’ cheap labour’

They ( india ) are amongst the best educated populations on the planet with millions of graduates every year .

To ‘import’ these highly educated , highly motivated , english speaking people is pure …

Fordism !

He famously increased his wage bill to reduce his staff turnover and save retraining costs and skill loss , thus increasing his productivity/dollar .

The productivity gains of asian workers are even greater for us as we have not paid the training costs at all .

I am sure you can agree that this is a far better prospect than importing miserable ,badly educated , poorly motivated people from the russian empire with poor language skills …

As these people reduce productivity and reduce wages for ourworking class

It’s obvious that increasing the labour supply with immigrant labour, especially from less developed countries with lower income expectations, adds to the demand for social/health and housing provision while reducing wage levels.Fordism actually being all about increasing wage levels to increase demand for domestically made goods thereby creating economic growth.Under Fordism and if India is full of such talent then it will have no problem in turning itself into a place and economy where its people don’t want to leave and want to stay. While it certainly won’t want to lose that talent to migration.

As for the societal stability downsides,of importing the slavic culture into western Europe, those downsides can only be higher in the case of trying to import the African and/or Asian cultures. As we’ve seen/are seeing in numerous examples. While last but not least with a population getting ever closer to 100,000,000 than 50,000,000,in a small Island like this,in which the indigenous demographic is getting ever lower v the immigrant demographic, the boat is full anyway. We need to say enough and arguably reduce/reverse the levels we’ve already got.

That doesn’t explain why Cameron as someone “Wanting In” - is dead against it. Are you suggesting he’s a closet "Out"er?

   All Indians are educated and good, all Eastern Europeans are the quote above again

On that note, a Bulgarian woman was attacked with acid and received massive burns on her face and body, for refusing to marry Indian national in Varanasi, India.

More like he knows that he’s got no actual intention of going through with his promise of a referendum and he knows that such a change might be a game changer for the Cons chances if/when it’s applied to all elections. :bulb:

If not some say that he doesn’t think that it’s in the interests of the in campaign to call the date for the referendum later rather than sooner. With such a change meaning that there will need to be a delay in the date to make the arrangements for the change.Whatever the eventual decision there’s no argument that today’s youth are indoctrinated with the pro EU pro immigration agenda from an early age and seem all to eager to accept it.

Having said that the argument between Dolph and boredwivdrivin suggests that the issue isn’t that clear cut. With the immigration side of the argument at least turning into the choice between a pro EU/East Euro agenda v the non EU pro African and Asian agenda. In which case if that’s the choice I’d prefer to have the East Euro ( Dolph ) side of that argument on board than the African Asian ( boredwivdrivin ) side of it.

Possibly to the point where I could foresee that pro ‘Commonwealth’ demographic switching to UKIP with those like myself switching to the opposite in allying with Dolph’s lot. :open_mouth:

What were the exact details. That type of Asian honour zb usually only applies to their own IE ethnic Indian woman fixed up with an arranged marriage with an Indian national who she doesn’t want. But if she was Bulgarian what was her connection with India. Bearing in mind that East Euro isn’t known for the same type of ethnic Asian demographic as we have here.

Sounds like she’s an indigenous Bulgarian who went to India as a naive tourist and found out the inconvenient nature of much of the primitive Asian mindset in it’s view of women. While the pro ethnic integration apologists will probably call that view ‘racist’. :unamused:

Yeap, she is native Bulgarian from Varna, tourist in India. Who cares about apologists…
Not all Indians are educated pro British, English speaking, law abiding citizens etc.

Get your popcorn ready fellas. The Oxford Union are having a debate on Monday entitled ‘This House believes Britain and the EU are better together.’ In the blue corner Nick Clegg and Manuel Barroso, in the red Nigel Farage and Bill Cash. (Or have I got the colours wrong, I can never tell nowadays).

Makes me wonder why Cleggy would want to debate with good ol’ Nige as last time Farage wiped the floor with him. (But that EU pension has to be earned  ). But the bit I’m looking forward to is Cleggy proudly emphasising that the EU isn’t planning to have an army or ever closer union whilst Barroso will be contradicting him at every step, unable to contain himself from espousing the values of an EU army or ever closer union.

Should be fun. :stuck_out_tongue:

It should be “Old Nick” in one corner and “Hard Cash” in the other I reckons.

The only people wanting to stay in will be Employers who fear additional costs if the flow of cheap labour dries up, and those employees themselves - who obviously don’t want to be told “You can’t stay” or “Your mates no longer qualify to come over and join you”.

Everyone else - local home grown Brits - are thinking "Hey those billions being spent on ‘what exactly’ could be ringfenced to restore public services instead!

It’s not a Xenophobic argument. It never was. Not for those that want OUT. It’s merely “OOh they’re all xenophobic racists them crowd that want to leave!” as accused BY those that want to stay IN. :bulb:

Well said that man may I also add that since the horrific attacks on France last week
The French security wants the EU to tighten up border controls as the EUs open border policy makes it easier for terrorists to cross Europe no ■■■■ Sherlock I think that’s blown a gaping hole in the pro EU mobs ideology of free movement me thinks

gazsa401:

The problem in this case arguably being more one of allowing them into Europe to start with and not deporting them when they’ve arrived and know they are here.Ironically because commy Federalists like Hollande and Merkel and Obama would view that as ‘racist’.Bearing in mind that Obama is also now threatening to over rule individual State refusal of Syrian ‘refugees’.

Even with attacks on the doorstep - can something be done by this monstrosity of an EU government?

Nope. The solution was obvious from the start… EU could keep everyone in the EU happy - by adopting a far-reaching kind of EU nationalism… Shut the whole of Europe to outsiders. Reduce relations with America. Don’t permit “asylum seekers” in unless they are under fatwa for being Apostates. Once an apostate, you can prove it by converting to any other non-Islamic religion upon arrival. Doff that bacon sandwich and ■■■■■ that beer…

Join us - or don’t come. This whole thing has only become a battle of cultures - because daft liberalism has let it be so. You don’t have to swing wildly right to merely put the wood in the hole here. :bulb:

i never claimed they were .

but we are not in an idiotic open border alliance with india

with indias 9 million graduates per year we would be able to cherry pick the cream whose skills we may need .

unlike bulgarians where we have absorb them regardless . if they are drunks , criminals , no skills , no english , rapists , murderers ,racists , kiddy fiddlers , con men , pickpockets etc etc . we have to have them .

the only result is pressure on social services , criminal justice and downward wages .

there is no productivity gain and there is no positive outcome socially .

there is absolutely nothing positive to be gained for UK working classes by being in a tragic pointless alliance with bulgaria

Хаха, you just described Brits living/visiting Bulgaria. Alcoholics, murderers and pedophiles who refuse to assimilate, learn Bulgarian or become BG citizens  .
You put pressure on tourist and property services as well.
You gonna cherry pick my a$$, when every graduated highly educated indian as you call them bring his/her whole family of 10-15…
Its not Bulgaria(or any other country) fault of your “idiotic open border policy” its your elected officials whom you put in office that made you EU member, stop screaming at people who exercise their lawful right of working in UK.

P.S. To all others in the forum, my first sentence is BS in order to reply boredwivdrivin BS generalization. :grimacing:

i didnt generalise at all

i said if bulgaris are any of those things we have to have them !!

you generalised by saying indian families have 15 kids .

BTW ive never voted for an incumbent uk government ,…

and ive never voted on EU expansion !!

its not your fault for escaping from backward country …

its not my fault you have been allowed to …

But we do need to put a stop to it now , and send you back to your lovely country
