And there lies the problem with the EU a country with a population of under 3 million, yet they have many companies with 100’s of vehicles. The don’t have the work internally for them. So they get huge grants and come to the west undercutting everyone. VOTE OUT

Agree with you Kreis have got the Danone contract from near Rouen running to England and then back out empty so much for the eu looking after the environment would be interesting to see the figures from Dover port as to the number running out empty reckon it will be close to 75% this can only be achieved with subsidies and low wages yet more hypocrisy from the EU telling the western countries to be more environmental while pursuing the exact opposite in the eastern countries

The relevant question in this case being what happens if/when the US and Canada allows Mexican cabotage operations throughout North America.

Or for that matter even allowing Mexican US-Canada cross border operations that we allow East Euros to do in the case of UK-West Euro operations. :unamused:

IE typical hypocritical US bs in telling us do one thing while doing the opposite itself.Bearing in mind that Cameron has ‘promised’ that we aren’t going to be part of a Federal USE.

.Most truck back to France empty.Company want collect load from here to Eu.But not so much load.Yes may be after years will be tranship by containers or make production here.

It isn’t rocket science to work out that the lifting of cabotage restrictions would have a massive effect of UK domestic traffic from containers to numerous types of trunking operations.Especially when Turkey gets let in.

And when will this happen?

When Cameron,Merkel and Juncker etc say it will.East Euro won’t like it but will obviously cave in when Juncker says accept it or secede and be subjected to economic sanctions. :unamused:

Or when they meet the criteria of which so far they have met hardly any but that doesn’t sound quite as scary as the bogeyman is waiting at the border does it. :unamused:

EU rules are generally very flexible when it comes to getting what they want, Greece didn’t fit the parameters for joining the Euro yet were still accepted with the now disastrous consequences for them, France has never yet met the fiscal rules for Euro membership either yet Brussels isn’t doing to much about that. So on past records I think we can safely take EU rules with a bucket load of salt

Let’s just say that Cameron and Merkel etc seem to be wasting a lot of time and effort on a so called mission impossible of fast tracking Turkish membership in that case. Not to mention the effort of their obvious blatant and amateurish attempts at denial. :unamused:
