On monday morning about 6am I was driving down the M74 and a truck was approaching me with what can only be described as Blackpool illuminations in their cab, red, yellow, pink and green, orange and purple and blue.
Now obviously at night that light show is gonna give off some glare on the window, how can he…or she possibly see the road clearly?.
Oh and you’ve just grinded my gears been pc. It seems to be quite a modern trend for people on here and radio presenters to always say " he…or she", before long people will be going through every gender they can think of aswell as saying “they” in reference to that mentally ill freak Sam Smith or whatever he’s called
Tonymcg:
What are the legalities of in cab lighting,

Plus it just looks fleking stupid.
Assuming you don’t have anything of the sort in your cab why do you care about the legalities?
From what I know, long as the lights ain’t blue–obvious really-- your visibility isn’t affected, nor any affect on others caused then nothings mentioned to my best knowledge about it being a problem in the rules I’ve seen over the years.
What ■■■■■■ me off is badly adjusted 4000000000k illegal HID lights on cars, that’s far more dangerous than the mobile illuminate.
Gotta say I do love to see wagons all lit up, nice to see the pride invested in what was once in the UK a trade to be proud of, least the yanks, Dutch, Irish still give it their best, and tbf there seems to be ALOT more wagons about getting into the spirit of it all again, mostly OD’s/family clans but again it’s nice to see folk enjoying the lifestyle and making the best of it, bringing a sense of community back to the job aswell.
Plus it gives and creates jobs in the custom scene and if we’re all deep down honest it’s far more interesting too see these lads than the bland corporate wagons.
Come on op, Far more dangerous, and ignorant practices on the road to be sorted, and secretly you know deep down you’d love a bit of tinsel an fairy lights in ya cab…[emoji8][emoji38]
any colour including blue can be shown to the front of the cab/vehicle including blue so long as theres no red showing is perfectly legal.
blue is only illegal if it can flash.
no reds to the front,no whites to the rear, yellow is mostly for the sided, but not illegal.
plod dont like blue showing but theres nothing they can charge you with for having them, and at mot time they are also frowned upon but perfectly legal.
the only criteria is that they musnt be flashing.
id imagine by kicking the ■■■ out of it like you say, then they could always try to do the driver for lack of vision ( or taste) if they can think something up.

Was it that 7 and half tonner bed wagon?

Hello Mr Monkey.
I have to admit I’d never heard of Sam Smith, but a quick google search has answered that for me. I’m curious as to what evidence of a professional diagnosis you have seen that suggests a mental illness, I couldn’t find any.
So if your diagnosis is based purely on personal opinion then it’s as illogical and daft as me claiming anyone and everyone wanting to drive a lorry is mentally ill. In fact I’m pretty sure I could forward a much more convincing argument for that than you can of this Smith characters being mentally ill.
Pray do tell, what is it that you find so offensive about someone choosing which pronouns they prefer to be addressed as? You’re probably never going to meet this person and are under no obligation to use their preferred pronoun when talking about them, so what difference does it make to you and why does it bother you so?
We do agree on one thing though, I too hope we don’t ever get to where people feel the need to go through every possible gender when talking about someone, it would appear that there are 71 gender options on Facebook as it stands now.
I think I’ll just stick to being polite wherever possible and use he or she as appropriate unless I get told of a specific difference for someone.
the bottom line is that if your born with clakkerbags, your a man.
if your born without them, then your a woman.
any other description is dependant on how far up your own jacksie you are and dependant on how much other people pander to your whim.

Hi tgtrucker
I’m assuming you’re a transgender going by your username. I personally feel all trans people and these attention seeking folk like sam smith have a mental illness which can be helped by receiving the relevant treatment without the need to change ■■■. It’s one thing if a bloke wants to wear womens knickers on a weekend but these who wish to change ■■■ is repulsive to me and i’m fed up of not been able to have an opinion nowadays without the pc nimbies having a meltdown. You are what you was born with and nothing more. People should be he or she and nothing more
Dont know legalities but it should be banned.
Only recently on a Nightshift tarring, driving some else’s wagon, had to disconnect the power to the bulkhead illuminations.
Couldn’t see a thing for the blue Scania sign reflecting off windscreen.
Narrow minded bigot or merely someone expressing his/her opinion? Where do we draw the line? What gives anybody the right to say where that line is? What qualifies that persons who says where the line is and what is it about their opinion that makes it more important than someone else’s?
There are certain religious practices that I find distasteful or even abhorrent, if I spoke out against them would I be a narrow minded bigot or would I be a person living in a free society merely expressing my opinion?

So many questions, so little time.
It’s a trait of the left. Call you names such as bigot, racist and fascist to shut down debate. The irony of calling you fascist is lost on them
