So here’s a scenario for you which I have used before.
If your boy or girl came and told you they were gay,.would you keep it quiet in shame amongst your fellow members, or would you do as I would and say, whatever my boy/girl does in their lives they have my full support as a proud parent.
My children are all straight so its not an issue I have to deal with but if they were,I dont know really,what I am supposed to do.They will do what they want to do but they will never get my blessing if they are choosing that lifestyle

You’re not a very good parent then. Out of interest, at what age did you make the choice to be straight?
If anyone’s child comes out as gay to them there is only one simple thing required of you…….say ‘I love you’ and hug them. Being angry or telling them they or it is wrong will simply close a door that you’ll likely never get open again for as long as you live.

My Parents were maybe not quite as God bent as you Sploom but they were still Full on Baptist God botherers.
At an early age my mother who was a hospital matron taught me about the many variations of people and how they were born like it. I remember her telling me about a highly regarded surgeon who was female from the waist up and male below the belt.
My experience of Gay people is not of them "choosing that lifestyle" more like being cursed with a genetic imbalance that people, particularly of the non-tolerant evangelical persuasion like yourself, will curse them for the rest of their lives.
I doubt your children would ever admit to being Gay or even atheist, but I will put money on it that as soon as they are independent enough they will kick all your Christianity billhooks into the long grass, same as I did as soon as I got a chance.

I’m assuming you are referring to homosexuality as this is what instigated this conversation, how do you personally know or assume that people who are gay do not want to be so?
And btw…speak for yourself and your own wife…my long term wife looks after herself, and looks better as she gets older.
