It all started with him getting narked because he perceived I’d cut him up, when in reality I merely manouvered into my lane despite him not wanting to let me in. He then proceeded to drive alongside me for two miles gesticulating and getting angrier and angrier. I’d seen him but chose to completely ignore him and not let him know I’d seen him which I’m sure had the effect of making him even more irate.
Just wondered how you all deal with such individuals?

Queue jumpers used to wind me up, until I decided ‘if you can’t beat them join them’ and now I jump every queue going (within reason).
when in reality I merely manouvered into my lane despite him not wanting to let me in.
So if he did not want to let you in and you went in you did cut him up. Please explain why you did not cut him up?
Not saying you forced your way over but there are many who do force other vehicles because they are big bullies in their big truck and have no manners on the road.
Traffic is heavier, everyone is more stressed and thinks their journey is more important that everyone else’s. How do I treat the idiots that have escaped from community care? I generally just ignore them and stare straight ahead, as truly not interested in some sad little git that thinks they exclusively own the road.

Problem is Albion your posts ALL follow a similar vein i.e.: standards have slipped, all I see every day is poor driving etc
You only read some of my posts then. I am willing to give an opinion or discuss anything but some on here are incapable of carrying out any sort of discussion or giving an opinion. I believe that is what internet forums are for!
I am afraid when some post(sheer stupidity) on here they leave themselves wide open. Professionals my ■■■.
A daily scenario in the pressure cooker environment of congested traffic. I find indicating early gives other road users thinking time but its a fine line between thinking they could let you in and thinking youve just left your blinkers on.
Now its not the vehicle alongside you hope lets you in and not even the one behind that, if all goes well its the third one back. Now the problem I have is when they dont its at this point I have to fight the urge to just wipe the ■■■■ out. Luckily my advanced training allows me to hug the white line a little thus moving the aggresion up a notch or two. If they still dont let you in just ram the buggers.
Remember there is somebodies loved ones in these vehicles and most dramas can be resolved with a quick apology or a gesture to discuss the matter out of the vehicles coccooned environment. Not BMW’s though, these creatures are aliens to me who are seen as a direct threat to the planet and must be destroyed, oh and cyclists…
