Right if you could build your own motor any spec by this I mean eg : Volvo XXL cab chassis Scania V8 engine Eaton twinsplit transmission 6X4 chassis
what would you come up with plenty to choose from and can be as mental or as daft as you like ! :slight_smile:

cheiftain tank… pull anything go anywhere built in traffic officer disposal non clampable wheels … was that a pothole or a nissan micra.
alternativley im quite happy with a xf daf super space auto (yes i have driven fuller/eaton twin etc) or one of the big merc actros

I would have one of those American truck cabs that was linked to on here not that long ago, With at least a 750 volvo motor with manual box , with all the luxuries inc, to be a basic as i can be if money was no object, We in the uk have not as yet developed a suitable cab for tramping 2-3 weeks as yet

Volvo globetrotter cab and heavyweight chassis, 19 Litre Catapillar V8, 18 speed fuller , Rockwell 19 ton axles and a massive live in box behind with kitchen and bathroom. And then double trailers !
Not on UK roads though.

Add a Scania retarder, all on a 6x4 drawbar with tri axle trailer and Manitou forklift hanging on the back. That’ll do just fine. (hint to boss :smiley: )

Got to agree. MAN seat, even on the fleet spec ones we have, is the comfiest there is.
