Not actually worked a full weekend yet and not minimum hours at the moment as it’s manic.
It’s Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon shift for now but I’m just biding my time as I’m new

Congratulations on the new job, Ive done work for Aldi & Morrisons in the past but never for Asda, do you self tip or do you sit that part out ? Used to love the Morrisons work, put truck on bay and head to canteen for an hour easiest gig ive ever had
You push the cages off the trailer then the warehouse bods take over, some stores now have dock levellers or otherwise it’s a scissor lift.

No obviously not ideal but it won’t be for ever, not only that there’s some kind of rota change happening March time. Anyway they’re a good bunch there so hopefully should all pan out well.

Maybe because they are evasive about things like pay, what the actual job entails etc…!?

Each to their own I suppose, personally I found it (tesco) to be the most stressful, unpleasant & dirty type of job. I’d rather be sat in the cab on a bay for hours on end than do that. I enjoyed the few jobs i did for Asda as a subcontractor.

Same goes for you ‘lorry driver’.
I’ll be honest, supermarket work ticks a lot of boxes but what puts me off (apart from all the weekend working) is all the convenience store ■■■■■■■■ thats involved with it these days. Maybe not so much the case at Asda, but certainly Tesco & Sainsbury’s these days seems to be involve a lot of ■■■■■■■ about with urban trailers & rigids to high streets & petrol forecourts. Not really my scene having been there & done it.
There is an Asda depot near to me thats all superstore work, but unfortunately it’s run by Wincanton and the pay is pants 
Asda’s a half decent company to work for. The Union isn’t the best, but they’ve agreed a 3 year deal. The second rise is due in Jan.
I’d hate to deliver to most of the Netto stores without the rear window.
