dont get me wrong i may say for zb sake but after few minutes i wouldnt be bothered by it as told many times u should always leave plenty of time i leave for work 40 minutes before i start even thou its only a 10-15 minute drive as u never know what traffic will be like
I like the bit implying him wasting more of his time writing out the moans than being stuck behind it!
Driving anywhere at the start/end of a bankholiday is a pangea of deserted roads to …who exactly?
All that fuss over 30mins,good job he nev er gets stuck in operation stack on the m20.
regards dave.
the op is def a muppet.
be nice if someone from cadzow or similar sees the topic and posts on there the reasons why they move loads when they do
Surely the Highwaymen/Police tell you when and where to move on your Movement Order?
Ignorance, a horrible affliction.
Shouldn’t be moving them on a bank holiday if you ask me.

Why do you say that??
Common sense ■■
No doubt the same people who plan roadworks for bank holidays or other such peak times come from the same womb…
Case in point A17 Newark / Stapleford roadworks in full swing on the days of Waddington Airshow, the result was bedlam and not excusable, especially when they had not touched a single thing on the stretch for 2 weeks prior.

Cos heavy haul drivers are just as entitled to their bank holiday as every one else !
(says the man who doesn’t get bank holidays off, except Christmas n New Year. I get mine added onto my annual holiday entitlement)

I can’t be bothered to read the whole thread but it seems to me that the guy asked a perfectly reasonable question.
I don’t know all the details of that load movement so there may have been a perfectly good reason why it had to be moved when the roads were likely to be extra busy but it seems reasonable to me that someone would question the reasoning behind the timing of the load movement.
The question of why so much of the road network is conned off on bank holidays has already been brought up and as I see it questioning why large loads need to be moved at such times is no different to questioning why so many roads are partially closed at times when the roads are likely to be extra busy.
Like I say I’m not saying that the load shouldn’t have been moved when it was I’m just saying that the question was a reasonable one to ask and at-least the person was able to ask it without insulting anyone

Soon, we will all be banned from running on a Sunday/bank holiday as per most on mainland Europe.
Sooner the better.

Because the roads are extremely busy on a bank holiday, busier than at any other time of the year, simples. It’s not in the greater public interest to cause a delay at such a busy time.
I appreciate they can’t move abnormal loads at night by law but they shouldn’t be moving them on a bank holiday in my opinion and all this defending of everything & anything “truck” related is a bit overkill. I’m all for normal trucks running whenever they like, I think the weekend non fridge artic ban in France and other parts of Europe is a bit ott.

OMG, don’t forget your hard hat & high-viz, your life might just be saved by them one day!!
The guy on pis_on heads is flippin illiterate anyway, “half and hour”!! Doen he mean ‘half an hour’■■ Who cares? the load needs shifting and it was obviously being carried under a ‘movement order’ so he can go & boil his head for “half and hour”!!!
