Bit of pop quiz trivia comin’ at ya now. Musical Youth (who could forget their long & illustrious career) had their popular chart hit re-titled with the word “Dutchie” (which apparently is some sort of food bowl), as the original reggae song “Pass the ■■■■■■■”, was an obvious ganja glorifying ditty, and this was not considered very appropriate for the aspiring young popster’s images.

I know loads of other pointless [zb] too.
That’s a whole year of monkey’s supply gone in two minutes.
For years, a very small minority of truckers have deluded themselves they have more right to be on the road than anyone else and have used the size of their vehicles to intimidate other road users. Heck, when I’ve been driving trucks myself, not hanging around and driving bang on the speed limits, I’ve had these clowns riding inches from the back end and glaring like some demented lunatic.
I for one, am all for this dashcam revolution, if it makes the roads safer out there for everyone. As long as police use these clips sensibly and only go for those guilty of dangerous or reckless driving, where that is a deliberate act, rather than error of judgement, then I am all for people getting busted. Why should any of us risk injury, because someone is more frightened of some spotty faced upstart in the traffic office, rather than the consequences of killing someone out there.
Biggest complaint you hear, is there aren’t enough police out there to monitor whats happening on the roads. With dashcams available from as little as £15 now, that is no longer the case. Those that continue to drive like pratts, will finally face the consequences of their actions.
Clear sightline down the road, no clues from the car driver as to what he wanted to do when he got to the island. Cars on other side of the road didn’t need to slow down.

I fail to see the problem.

Apart from the obvious his main mistake was not driving to the conditions… I.e this isnt the 80’s when you could pull these stunts and get away with it now dashcams mean chances are your coming a croper via tinterweb and the new breed of Dashcam Warrior Home Guard.
As mentioned though this video is a great cv to walk straight into another job on tippers.
In this instance the driver was stupid on so many levels but nothing special no one died, well this time anyway.

A good point and I kind of agree with you to a certain extent. Im all for the ■■■■■■■■■ on the road getting caught and dealt with. However, there are so many self rightous, self styled, think they’re perfect ■■■■■ out there who take umbrage at everything they see as a slight and fancy themselves as the standard to be measured against, then they will bombard the police with footage. As soon as it is accepted, either officially or otherwise, that dashcam footage will be analyzed then every “driving expert” will be sending footage in and demanding swift justice. Imagine some self important muppet with a dashcam is driving along a two lane road towards some lights. He is passed by someone who does not realise the lights have a right filter and he needs in the left hand lane. He panics a bit, glances at the left lane, sees a gap and moves in. Mr dashcam has to brake as it is close. He is not happy at this “dangerous” manouvre and promptly sends the footage in to plod. Was it a silly manouvre? Yes. Is it needing police intervention? Not a chance. But unfortunately plenty dashcam heros will want their “evidence” looked at. How much police time would be wasted sifting through hours and hours of non events?
Im all for it for dangerous, reckless behaviour. But some people cant help themselves and it will turn into “I sent the footage in to the police” bragging by anyone who wants revenge everytime they get cut up.

Shame this all didn’t take place a few weeks ago. You could have conveyed you opinion to your test examiner, there by ensuring a pass was guaranteed
Also, we might all feel a bit safer, if you could post your routes for the coming week each Sunday evening.
Regards.John.
P.S. just thought, you may have been being ironic, if so you have my apologies, if not God help us.

Lets analyse that comment shall we? Clear sightline down the road So he can clearly see two cars approaching the roundabout, even though he has no idea what speed they are doing. No clues from the car driver of what he wanted to do. If that is the case how does the truck driver know the car driver isn’t go to do a U turn round the roundabout? At this stage we’ll take a break and point out that the truck driver then goes round the roundabout the wrong way round and the wrong side of the safety bollard on the other side… Cars on the other side of the roundabout didn’t need to slow down… Try looking again Pal, they both had to brake sharply to avoid this clown, you can clearly see them both stopped as the truck passes them.
His employers probably watched this clip a few times to be 100 percent sure of the facts and sacked him as they considered him to be a dangerous driver they truly didn’t want to employ. Their decision, which will no doubt validate any subsequent decision to prosecute this driver, may well result in loss of this drivers HGV entitlement.
I agree that there are a few dashcam heroes out there, including many truckers too, that will act as self claimed vigilantes, but anybody that captures clowns driving dangerously and putting others at risk will get my vote of support when they pass that dashcam footage onto police (or the traffic commissioners). Drive like a moron and kiss your license goodbye.

That is because you are part of the problem.
Note to some other posters here. There is a large majority of drivers,me included, and some even from this forum, who will get in their trucks tomorrow, and drive them sensibly and responsibly . Without feeling the need to dispense justice to other drivers for the odd misdemeanor that might slow our progress. We are experienced enough to know that the less drama that occurs, leaves us less at risk of stress, accident or conflict. Everybody wins here, and you live longer to boot.
You heroes who condone the video, and will spend the majority of the day terrorising anybody that gets in your way, are just an accident waiting to happen. At the very least, a future customer for blood pressure tabs.

The keep left signs at the roundabout are a clue .Although to be fair who ever planned the road markings layout on the approach to it in either direction is as bad as the truck driver. It also seems like an obvious candidate for speed cameras to enforce the 30 mph limit. But the law obviously prefer to use those on motorways instead.
