How to get the sack in one easy go

Bye bye licence

I need a Hero :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

The writing in that report is nearly as bad as the driving…

Now that’s how you overtake a dithering grandad!! Eh i mean he ought to be sentenced to 100 hours of dcpc for that outright dangerous manoeuvre! :imp:

annoys me a lot watching this. aggressive, dangerous and in a rush. see it all to often.

This is what happens when you raise the speed limit from 40 mph too 50 mph ,before car drivers became frustrated sat behind slow moving trucks and performed dangerous overtakes ,now we can do 50 mph on s/c were coming upon slow moving cars ,frustration ,dangerous manuovers.
I don’t condone what he did ,but I can understand his frustration ,I’ve often been banging on the steering wheel in frustration having too follow the Sunday afternoon driver

I love this comment -
I blame the Greens … this is entirely due to the loony cycling policies. Poor lorry driver he’d probably been delayed by some loony lentil eating cyclists …

Would he have been on a full time contract if sacked this easily?

I’m sensing an agency driver and tipper jackpot here.

(lol at the bosses of Hell Driver’s Transport playing the whiter than white)

That’s regular for the Argus readers. Because Brighton has a green council that have absolutely ruined the infastructure in favour of cycles, every story’s comments section descends into a rant about the greens.

As for Dozy’s comment about the raise in NSL being to blame, Turners Hill is 30 mph so that’s irrelevant - and it’s from Dozy

Gross misconduct so could easily be sacked on the spot.

Not condoning his actions but it seems as though virtually every road user is now acting as an amateur Police observer, where will it all end eh? :unamused:

Pete.

Another example of folk interfering in stuff that doesn’t affect them ffs.

Couldn’t even begin to count the number of tines I’ve done that to get past a ditherer who decides to slow down or stop at an empty roundabout. Did it Wednesday evening but there wasn’t Keep Left signs just after the roundabout.

It wasn’t a serious comment but there are very few circumstances that a tribunal would consider severe enough for summary dismissal without recourse to the usual process.

If you sacked a driver for this and then they came back, with a doctor’s note, saying they had food poisoning and urgently needed the loo I wouldn’t be surprised if the dismissal would be judged unfair.

What’s the crack with handing stuff like this into the local bobbies?

I know he’s driving like a ■■■■■■■

But it’s like big brother is watching 24/7 everywhere.

Of course I hope all the observant people watching this video also notice that the white car approaching the roundabout from the opposite direction has to slam his brakes on to avoid the clown in the truck that is heading straight for him.

If it was just a case of a mis-timed overtake there isn’t an issue, but the truck driver obviously knows the road and has purposefully gone the wrong way round a roundabout, even though they can clearly see from their elevated position that there are others cars heading towards them. Being presented with this evidence, what did folks actually expect his employer to do?

What everyone has to remember is that dashcams are commonplace nowadays. Drive like an absolute moron, put people at risk and sooner or later somebody out there will end your antics.

That’s Friday driving but on a Wednesday. :open_mouth:

Maybe the driver had booked Thursday and yesterday off for an extra long bank holiday weekend?

Are some of these comments for real? I think there must be a particularly potent strain of crack being smoked if you see that as anything but extremely dangerous at best. Mistimed overtake! Might have needed the toilet! Good grief, if he only got sacked I would say he’s a very luck ex driver & id be surprised, and disappointed, if it didn’t go further.

On the bright side, it has created a job opportunity for a safer driver now… :unamused:

Having driven for tipper companies in the past though, hammering along trying to get loads in, I must admit this driver is in a separate league altogether and his employers have done exactly the right thing in getting rid of them. Apart from obviously endangering other road users (for what exactly?) they have also endangered their employer’s operators license and the jobs of the other drivers they employ. Having said all that though, many tipper companies seem quite happy to profit from the extra loads created from their drivers racing around everywhere.

And to top it off a forum moderator not only condones it, but admits to doing it himself…
Unbelievable.

deserves the sack and lose his licence imho
