Hgv Class 1 Lorry Driver Required.
Pro Access Scaffolding require a Class 1 HGV driver to drive a big shiny truck to places and deliver scaffolding.
Must be able to understand basic instructions and not have marmalade for brains.
Must be able to drive a big truck without coming back from journeys with the wing mirror on the floor of the cab or the front bumper held in place with Gaffer Tape.
Must have a full understanding of driving hours and the other EU directives that the rest of Europe and foreign lorry drivers in flip-flops choose to totally ignore.
The ability to communicate with spoken word is a necessity as grunts, moans, frowns and raised eyebrows will not be tolerated. Thats my job.
The job involves some overnighters in the lorry for which you’ll have a lovely big cab. If asked to do an overnighter, please remember it was in the job description, so dont look at me with a face like a punched lasagne when asked.
The ability to drive and reverse a 40 foot trailer round the yard without ripping off the gates, knocking over stacks of scaffolding and running over the yard operatives is also a necessity.
We don’t discriminate here, and don’t care if you are black, white, pink, maroon or made of coke cans. We welcome all as long as you are not a total bell-end.
If you have a license and are not a total knob and will just your job, then we’d like to hear from you. If not and cannot adhere to the above, stay where you are and make your current employers life a misery.
Translates as they’ll pay class 1 rate for a 12, possibly 18, tonner in the hope of ensnaring some mug to be a labourer/driver around the local building sites by making him think it’s distance work with an artic.
The company is real anyway. I can’t be arsed with a screen shot now but it’s copied and pasted from Facebook. Real or not I don’t know but amusing either way.

They’ve obviously had the usual selection and mixture of knobs and d/heads in the past, so they’re obviously looking for a decent driver for a change.
On the other hand the type of firm that usually pay peanuts attract and employ monkeys, so it could be a two way thing.
Btw o/p how tf long does it take to screenshot exactly?..a lot less time than what it took for you to explain that you ‘can’t be arsed’, so prove to us it’s genuine…if it is.
(Working on the theory that most (or all) of your posts are just done to get a reaction .)
Your call.

Its a made up fairytale…scaffolders dont use 40ft trailers. They use urbans.
Dont know if it’s a made up fairytale or not but I do occasional agency work for a scaffolding company who use 40ft trailers. Horrible job. Can never have enough straps.

From experience it rings true if altered beyond recognition as it passed down the line. They’ll happily pay for class 1 for a 12/18 tonner and possibly even advertise it as a class 1 job.
Because 1 no one wants the job and 2 that’s still cheaper than paying building labourer rates which is what the job really is.
Although there are artic scaffold wagons which are the exception which prove the rule.Which just means even more labouring to do on site and back at the yard.

Have you actually driven a scaffold wagon.
A ‘decent driver’ wouldn’t touch the job with a bargepole. Not least because it’s anything but the job of a ‘driver’.It’s site/yard labourer with an LGV licence to move the stuff between sites and the yard is what it is.
The ‘ad’ looks like a mixture of truth and ■■■■ take.

That’s one of the advantages of ropes at least there’s enough of it.
Is that saying that you don’t have to work on site helping to move/erect/strike it all then tip it and stack it back at the yard ?.That takes the meaning of horrible to a new level. That’s in addition to a job involving both shuttering and scaffolding.

No rob not as simple as that yes it take a second to screen shot but it meant going back and actually finding the post. Which I couldn’t be arsed with for you lot.
I don’t have to prove anything to anyone on here. If you think I’ve just taken the time to make all that up though and write it out then your delusional.

Not just me though…eh?
Reckon it would take you all of 60 seconds, but you just stick to your story eh bud?

Yeah well maybe it would but that’s 60seconds of effort that I can’t be arsed with for you.
Company seems real, though there are several with similar names and I can’t see any facebook page with that job advertised (mind you I am social media illiterate by choice). That looks to me like a regular artic and trailer which would fit with the job description.
Screenshotting would have taken far less time than typing out the advert in the original post.
EDIT: the URL on the front of the truck, when you put that into a browser it doesn’t lead anywhere
I believe the ad is true. Anyone who posts that I worked with agencies a long time and I can tell you that ad is true. most of the firms are like that think that drivers are idiots. To speak like that it tells you what they think of you before you even start. Basically your their slave you do as I say wen asked.
You will be in long vehicles and delivering to building sites where the foreman will be praying you touch a kerb so they can bill your firm , and you will be paying. Scaffolding is the most dangerous job for a driver one guy got prison up in North West stuff came of the back hit cars.
You will be getting up very early getting to the site before the scaffolders unloading by hand or hiab and hand ready for the scaffolders. Then you will be back to the yard licking up other stuff then to the next site unloading in the most tight spots in the world . Security guards watching your every more to see if u hit something.
Then wen the scaffolders go home at 4.30 you will be on the sites because security will open you will be loading then stick in all traffic to get back . Then unload at your base then get home for about 8 at night have a bowl of cornflakes go bed get up at 4.30. The scaffolders will take the ■■■■ make you labour or they will say to the boss we need a hand he will call you say oh it’s quite rather than sit around give th lads a hand. You will basically be a Joey and you will be working every other Saturday. You will need valium because the load weighs a mega tons and you will need 20 straps.
You will go to sites it will take u ages to get hold of the site gaffers your now behind then u unload the scoffolders will give u dirty looks as why’s it not ready . Be warned I done it for the agency them firms don’t care about you the loads your responsibility. You will be helping scaffolders in the rain the boss will state labourer stroke driver. I guarantee in the interview he says oh drivers are ten a penny it’s a good driver we want who’s not an idiot. Subconscious that’s what they think of driver. They basically want everything out of you and the firm can’t run without the drivers unloading and loading the scaffolding so it’s all on your head. You will get about 11ph . Be warned. Good luck.

That’s more or less how I remember it.It went along the lines of I’m only the bleedin driver.
When you’re on this site you do whatever I tell you to do as the site foreman.
Back at the yard you don’t go home until it’s all tipped and stacked.
Back early enough to load it all.
The artic in the pic doesn’t look like a site delivery wagon to me.There’s no planking on it scaffolding, let alone shuttering too, like I had on 12/16 tonners.
As I said building site labourer with a truck licence job.
They’ll happily stitch up class 1 drivers to find a mug to do it.If only I knew then what I know now.Agencies are all about finding mugs to do jobs that no one wants.

If wouldn’t have taken less time.
I copied and pasted the text which took 5 seconds.
If I’d have done a screen shot I would have had then edit the photo and crop to size to ensure non of my personal info can be seen by some of the clowns on here. And if then had to save the photo and upload as an attachment.
