It was twice a month till I started avoiding all the VOSA sites (easily done) and now hardly ever. Dover being the only one I can’t avoid.
I don’t even know where the VOSA sites are. The only time I’ve ever seen them is at MSAs or sat on a pig perch.
pulled on A64 just south of Scarboro about 2 years ago the officer started checking the underside I asked why ?
my truck had only been tested 2 days previously he pulled out a PDA and agreed I was correct !
had a good chat thou he said that VOSA were going to be more active and that a couple of there sites then were going 24/7
I came down the M6 and the checkpoint at stafford was open 2am that was a couple of weeks ago !
Also heard thro the grape vine that the new site just north of Carlise was going to be 24/7 is that true ■■?

Have they built another new one M6 going s/b just north of Carlisle
As there is already a purpose built 24/7 wheel tap tap tapping mud hut on the M6 n/b side just south of carlisle
.
got pulled new years eve. before that it was 2005. however have seen them out and about a lot more recently including blyth services. must be coming to the end of the financial year…
Twice in four years. It’s more than enough for me!
Once in 20 years, and so what if it takes an hour, though i cannot think why it would take so long, if you the paid by the hour more money

havent been stopped by vosa for about 4 years now, the last time I got pulled I was in 7.5 tonner and got tugged twice in the same day once on the way into Sterling on the morning, then on the afternoon I was parked up on the coach park in Ayr waiting for the tyre fitter when they came a knocking at my window, cheeky sod didnt beleive me that I had already been stopped once that day till he had my tacho chart and saw it had already been signed
Did he not give you a slip of paper saying that you had been checked earlier in the day if stopped by police/vosa again.
