In the past I’ve avoided working weekends where possible.
Been looking at some jobs and the better paid ones all pretty much involve 5 over 7, maybe every 3rd or 4th weekend off, some constant weekends.
Where I am just now is mon-fri, 11 hour (easy - 3,4 drops, loads of waiting) days working out to 25k a year
30k+ is possible but as I say all involve weekends, always home at night tho

Worth it to you?
I work tue-sunday.Its not idea but its experience for me and a year has almost gone round,1 more year togo then ill be on my way if i carnt blag a sun-thur shift as i love my football so its hard to miss the away games,■■■■ up etc.
I would say it depends on your own personal situation, some people have families that they only get to spend time with at weekends or hobbies etc that they like to do at a weekend, but others find the extra money and having a mon/tues off more useful.
I only work Saturdays if I have to. After spending 60 odd hours in the truck during the week, I can think of far better things to be doing at the weekends, like quality family time (oh and getting ■■■■■■ ).
Its gotta be a personal circumstance thing , i made the decision years ago that a 60 hour week with nights out was more detrimental to my personal life than working weekends .
I didn’t want to be married to the job , slogging my nads off to bring home 500 quid .
So i changed …i Went night working and over the weekends, … I now work 4 night a week fri, sat, sun , mon .
And have 3 Off , sure , sometimes its a ■■■■■ , but i get 3 nights off , Bring home the same money i did when i was slogging 60 hour weeks , home late Friday , drag my ■■■ in at silly o’clock on Monday …
My weekends are precious to me,my wife is a teacher so only works Monday to Friday and a young un on the way so weekends are family time.
I’m home most nights as well so all the things I had to cram into the weekend when I was tramping like washing my kit, shopping etc get done through the week now.
Mates work Mon - Fri, missus has alternate weekends off (other week she’s off Thu and Fri), hobbies with mates 1 weekend, time with missus other weekend, can’t work weekends or I’d not enjoy life and that would defeat the object.
Sometimes, if mates are away, I’ll work 1 day in an alternate weekend (same one my missus works), but I try to avoid weekend working altogether, it’s just easier that way.

Where I am £30k is possible Mon-Fri 11hrs a day, always home at night and talking to one of the drivers from our Northampton depot I’m on a couple of quid an hour less than they are.
I drive for a 24/7 on demand service firm , read zero hours contract . whilst the other lads will run weekends ,I wont . I enjoy my weekends and £6.31 ph will not buy them .gaffer keeps trying it on ringing up and saying he`s desperate , no one else available etc ,he always gets the same reply " I will consider working weekends when you start paying weekend rates " he just hangs up at that point
Sign of the times, with the likes of the big stores being open 7 days a week others have had to follow suit hence they all want stock in their warehouses 24/7
