Thinking a bit more about MAN’s, i drove a roughly '73 regd 232 with column change and fairly sure that was a 13 speed Fuller?
Presumably the same box? but now floor change that went in 280 and then 331, and glory be didn’t those 331’s fly, over 50mph up Archway with around 15 tons on the back where the 332 F90 which replaced it circa '87 could only manage 35 on the same hill but could comfortably cruise at 95mph, i’m told 
…this was of course in the dead of night.
m.a.n, rules, i bet you knew as well how to ‘‘alter’’ the previously 71mph set limiter without anyone being the wiser 
As for more modern MAN’s, well that bloody euro5 EGR engine was nothing short of a disaster, but they’re back in the running now and doing very well…anyone else think they are most improved maker/dealerships of late.

Regarding MAN’s with ETS, yes MAN F90 ETS fitted from 86, one of the best TS fitments of all, that fast revving engine could have been made for the box, one of the best drivers lorries ever made. quote juddian…
yes it was the most complete lorry I have driven, cab could have been bigger but hey you cant have everything.
when I done euro in the noughties I had a roadhaus nice cab etc, but never drove as nice as the f90.
regards to the limiter no I never new about that, but the company I worked for liked to do it by the book… well most of the time

You can be a very sensible and informative poster but the holier than thou routine is getting very tired.
It’s not always the words used so much as the sentiment behind them that counts and I am not the sort of pedant to go through other members back post just to make myself feel superior.
