New to the longer drives. I know roads and traffic comes into account but how many miles in a day can be achieved.

on a 10 hour drive at a flat pace of 54 mph you can achieve 540 miles (900 km) but that is with no hold ups.
I have achieved 876 km and im limited at 56mph. so good luck in achieving your highest record.

I wasnt being funny by the way. Thats pretty good going on our roads i think.
Blackpool to Cardiff I think it’s possible. Parking up isn’t a option. 466 miles round trip.
The truck i drive is limited to 88kph,the most i can cover in a 9hour driving day is about 730km max or around 820km in a 10hour driving day but thats only on a clear run with no hold ups whatsoever.
Its easily achieved on daytime running to france and spain (away from the big cities)where traffic volumes are low but difficult to achieve on the congested roads of britain, today for example i started my shift in basildon then went to enfield and reading afterwards now parked up at truckhaven carnforth,8h 59min driving today 567km covered in this shift.

thats ok mate I didnt take it the wrong way.
its a bit of slog but its only just possible.
Its usually done in 9.50.
ive got to admit I do love doing it.
I have failed more often than getting there, but it doesn’t matter as the load goes to aberdeen for 8am monday.
I used to do 730km’s a night, 5 nights a week, was on domestic at the time though so no 45 required

If you find one, let my boss know about it. Her planner only works at warp speed.
In the US I try and get about 1050km per day on an 11hr drive, more if I’m out west. In Canada 1200-1300km on a 13hr drive if I need to push on. In the UK/Europe I dont think I ever managed to get past 800km despite being one to run out every last minute possible, I always got held up in something or other.

Since speed limiters came back in I’ve achieved 811 clicks on 9 hours 50 driving!
on a Digi!
obviously on anologue before speed limiters a lot more!
BUT it was very surprising to hear drivers ( not ) on the boat " oh I did more than 1000kms "
but you couldn’t write that on your card otherwise you’d have been SPEEDING! Many more clicks on the wire!
I used to regularly run from Bridgend up to Dundee. Just short of 800K I think it was.
I used to do 800+ per day quite easily, but since they took me out of that truck and put me in a high mileage one in order to keep the mileage down I struggle to get near 800km. Is it because the new/ older motor is slower? No, it’s because it has a MK1 digi! Robbing bloody device.
