I did an 80 mile round trip each day working for 3663 in Banbury. Used to take about 45 mins to get there and about an hour to get back
Wasnāt so bad when I finished at 2pm but when I finished at 8pm, the drive back was hell. So was the drive down there at 1am
Just to be faced with having to do that job.
I now travel 10 miles to Kidderminster for a 7 or 8 am start
Driving a very old Renault 18t at the moment though.
try asking your agency if they will pay something towards your fuel expenses
zippy!:
total madness:
How far do you guys travel too and from work?
The reason I ask is I have been offered a job working nights (6-5) but the only thing thats putting me off is the fact its 39 miles away!
If it was day work with a couple of nights out a week it would be a lot better on the petrol and not having to travel back and forth every day.
Any thoughts?
If its all thats about⦠buy a little cheap diesel motor! Should keep you right at a tank of juice a week in a little punto or 206 or summet.
Agree about the 206 being good on fuel; trading mine in next week but my 1.4 Quiksilver has done around 480 miles on a tank of petrol. I dont drive to work though, 15 minutes each way on a bike!
