Horse burgers.

FFS carry fast unless you buy fresh burgers from a good butcher they are full of crap. Wether they are Birdseye or tesco value.
I used to see the Jeremy Kyle scumbags round my way in farm foods loading up the trolley with crap from farm foods but still had enough cash to buy booze and ■■■■.
You go and buy four ready meals from them places at 3 quid a pop that’s 12 quid for a family of four. You can make a decent stew or spaghetti bollegnase from scratch for a lot less.

I’m not talking about scumbags looking for offal and horse burgers so they can spend the money on booze etc :open_mouth: :smiling_imp:  .I’m talking about the comparison between the price of decent burgers from Waitrose made with proper beef and the example of the retail price of similar, even better, cuts of beef which shows that the retail price of a decent burger costs around twice as much as the retail price of the meat it’s made from.No surprise that the burger manufacturers would then use offal and/or ‘filler’ ingredients instead of prime cuts of beef to reduce that price to affordable levels for those on low incomes.

Well buy the ingredients and make them yourself if you want to cut the cost.
I think most people would realize those two burgers for a fiver will be better quality than 20 for a fiver.
Me personally would rather have less nice food than a freezer full of crap

That’s why I’m saying that the burger manufacturers and the supermarkets should get together and reduce that cost of two at £5 and then get rid of all the cheap ones.In which case everyone is happy and no more dodgy horse burgers even for those who supposedly want them. It’s my bet that it would be the government that would be more unhappy about that situation, than any so called scumbags spending all their money on booze, because the government wants to keep the situation of high profits for big business together with low wages.

It’s nothing new pies haggis black pudding god knows what else is a load of old crap but can be tasty.

That is exactly the point I wanted to make earlier, the lord of all knowledge thinks it is a government conspiracy to cut benefits even further, when in reality the benefits have already been spent on a new hoodie for Kyle, a 78’’ Plasma TV with surround sound and a trip to the Epcot Center next year. Feeding the kids crap is almost compulsory after the beer money and ■■■ money has been taken out of the housekeeping.

I don’t eat burgers and I wouldn’t thank you for a sausage that was 100% beef or pork

I try not to eat to many but you can’t beat a greasy tea stall burger now and again.
Beats the majority of the crap on offer over here.

You can get a ■■■■ nice piece of rump for £5. Good meat can be had at a good price, I buy it all the time. Cheap burgers exist because people want them. Its not hard to find reasonably priced quality meat in the UK. In fact right now I’m cooking 350g of Welsh Topside steak that cost me £3.60.

So assuming that the burger manufacturers can buy decent British beef at wholesale prices a lot less than that. Why are they bothering with flogging burgers made with offal and/or ‘filler’ of whatever type imported from Poland and why are burgers made with the cheaper prime cuts of beef more expensive than a piece of steak from one of the more expensive cuts.
