When i first saw the title of this thread I thought I could not even be bothered to read it but curiosity got the better of me and I was drawn into reading the whole bloody thing
Anyway my conclusions are that the majority of people that use this site are in favour and the minority are against homosexuality.
Me I am in the live and let live camp and as one trucknet net member put it as long as you âdonât ram it down my throatâ then who cares.
I do think tho that we need to seperate homosexuality, hetrosexuality from perverted acts like "cottaging and all those other creepy weirdo acts that are rife in both hetro and homo camps because that is a completely different question.
I would put it in a list of things that i do not fully understand or agree with but do not want to condem anyone else who gets pleasure or happiness from.

The mrs mentioned cottaging once, so I took her down the Estate Agents, she said I was âbadly informedâ. No pleasing some people.

Agreed and its good to see that this opinion is now more widespread than it was say a decade or so ago at least some progress has been made in this country that seems determined to go backwards more and more until we finally re enter the dark ages where no one can afford to drive or use electricity or even maintain a roof over ones head see these are the important issues in our lives and guess what gay people have exactly these same issues

Lat night I stumbled upon a pretty good flik called BROKE BACK MOUNTAIN and it got me thinking, I have been a trucker for 37 years and in all of that time I have never met a Homosexual truck driver, or knowingly which is more to the piont.

When I thought about posting this topic I knew it would go one of two ways, one way would have been totally negative and full of inuendo and cruel jokes. The other was the way it very thankfully went, apart from a very few adverse comments which we were bound to get, the topic gave people who had probably never given the question very much thought the oportunity to express their own views and fears. I myself have learned a valuable lesson from the brave chaps who openly admitted that they were gay. that lesson was this, we are all made up of a very complex set of genes, it only takes a very small difference in those genes to seperate Hetrosexual from Homosexual, I too had fairly dogmatic views on gay people up until I read all of these possitive threads, I hope the very many other people who have hit this topic learned a little something as well. As I stated in an earlier thread I never intended to ridicule or mock gay people and I am very glad that none of them have taken offence, I think every body who has contributed to this topic in a positive way should feel quite proud of themselves, well done.

thiis is a forum for truck drivers, their â â â â â â â â â is immaterial to this forum, there are plenty of places that will host a free forum for you, I am sure that anyone who wishes to take part can PM you for deatils once you have set it up
This topic has gone a long way off the opening posts, and is now more about the morality of homosexual behaviour, and as such belongs in the bar, if it descends again into namecalling or other rule breaches it will be locked
