Where exactly did I say that you or who ever disagrees with me is a knuckle dragger? What I was revering to is the people who go about bashing and killing guys because they are gay. I can live with people calling me a fruit, ■■■■ whatever. Sticks and stones and all that.

I like free speech too.
I like that people are free to have ■■■ with whatever partner they want.
I like the fact that if I don’t like Asda, I can shop at Tesco (other supermarkets are available for shopping in ).
I am aware that other people may like or not like the way I look or the colour of my skin (currently green), or what I do for a living (look at the way I was treated by some when I told you lot I was an ex-police officer (an ex traffic officer even!) returning to the transport industry!
I massively respect the fact that others are different to me and I will defend their right to their opinion even when I really strongly disagree with it. All of them.
In fact there’s a word I used there that sums it all up really RESPECT…for others. Until you can have respect for others, even if they represent something you really don’t like, then it’ll be hard for a person to respect themselves.
The thing I like so much about us (the Human Race) is that we are all individual and very different from each other. I think that’s what makes us so beautiful as a species. It also think it’s what makes us such a self destructive and intolerant-of-each-other species. No other species on Earth routinely kills it’s own like Humans do…Religion, Race, Power, skin colour, ■■■■■■■■■, hel;l…even which football team or what estate you come from…all these are things that ordinary people have died for. Now, to me, that’s just madness.
The thing which in some small way is so eloquently illustrated by this thread is that intolerance reigns supreme…even amongst people who have never met, never even spoken to one another, but are bound together by the crazy job we do (or aspire to do). .

I have a feeling that this thread I started has now run its course, I am overwelmed by the reponce and very proud that I have enlightened many people including my self. Just to end the post(or start to wind it down) on a very light hearted theme I would like to say that inspite of all the arguments for and against different ■■■■■■ preference that I will not be swopping sides in this lifetime.How ever one night while me and Mrs Little Enis were enjoying the free pleasures given by God I got a little too excited and slipped off the Pink into the Brown. Why do they call it a phobia? As we know phobia is a fear of something. Homo is not natural,why was two different genders evolved/created? To procreate,that is an obvious fact. To justify why homosexuality exists,is probably down to biological imbalancement of testosterone and estrogen in the womb and has effected their brain to be attracted to the same ■■■,that’s my theory

excellent thread…im 28 and straight.when i was about 12 my mum told me she was gay,i had no problem with it,but obviously didnt go broadcasting it to friends etc.
she had a long term relationship with another woman,and we lived as a ‘family’.They split up about 5 years ago but still remained friends.
my mum is now in a relationship with an ex trucker…!she was a man,but has had the full op and now lives the life of a woman…
she gave up trucking quite a few years ago due to the abuse she used to get from so called colleagues,but is thinking of returning to the job she loved next year and saying ‘up yours’ to these morons…
oh and talking of morons…three masked men broke into their home when they lived in aberystwyth,and took a baseball bat to both of them,smashed the place up and left them for dead.why■■?
because they didnt agree with their living arrangement!!and didnt want these 2 freaks living on their estate!!WTF?

I work for Asda. as we use a lot of agency staff, you find that all human life passes through at some point, including gays/transexuals etc, their ability to do the job is no different from anyone else. The gay fellow we worked with was totally out, everyone got on fine with him.
Just a thought, could it be that sense is prevailing at last, this is after all a driving round-table, not a lifestyle forum. If someone does something that interferes with their ability to do the job, like abuse alcohol or drugs, fair enough chastise them. Nevertheless what I choose to do with my life, in the privacy of my own home is nobody’s business but mine. I hurt no one, with my with being gay, so don’t try and justify the minority of abuse directed towards myself and people like me.
