Home made meal suggestions?

I’m getting bored of the same meat, potato & tinned veg combo’s for lunch and have started thinking of other things to take
Any suggestions ,No buy fast food from road side vans or expensive Zb from services
I hate curry so don’t go there but like spag boll sweet n sour and stews

Cheesy pasta is one I love, basically cook the pasta, drain, add a knob of butter and grated cheese and stir on a low heat till cheese is melted. Also nice with sundried or cherry tomatoes added. Or pasta with a sauce and a sprinkling of cheese on top. Very cheap and very filling

I am not a cook by any means, if I do my repetoire is egg chips and beans.
My wife cooks me ready meals and I take them with me to microwave…yeh, I know

Usually consists of home made Sheperds pie, Chicken or beef casserole, Sweet and sour or Kung po chicken, and various puddings like home made rice.
When I did Mondays I used to take the Sunday roast leftovers with me, all with a cold beer or a glass of Zinfandel. :sunglasses:

If on the wine I used to meticulously dress for dinner complete with bow tie and sit in the passenger seat, with a candle on the table with soft music on the cd, for that complete ambiance.

…ok I made that bit up.

Home made curry, freeze it, stick it in the fridge when you get to the truck and it will be ready when you’re parked up. Warm through in a pan then add some of that Uncle Ben’s instant rice. Once the rice softens its ready.

Lidi’s do some good ready meals that you just zap in the micro.
The chicken and Mediterranean veg with pasta is good and only £1.39! :open_mouth:
It’s almost not worth the effort of cooking it yourself…

Tilda rice is better than Uncle Bens.

So did I, but I found that by training myself I grew to like it.
I hope I never bump into Dipper! :open_mouth:
