According to the 2007 holiday list, from the UTA web site, which has a link to it from the Euro Drivers Info Point,
Yes, there is a holiday in Germany on the 15th, but only in Saarland and Bayern.

Don’t worry about it Malcolm. If you get stopped, just remind them who won the war. They appreciate that, and will quickly let you on your way.

didnt the yanks and the russians win the war?
ps thanks chaps

Just a Left Footers holiday then.

The bit next to Luxembourg, sort of. Saarbrucken is a clue as to where it is. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s HERE Malc

well thank you
so the rest of germany is ok to drive in on wednesday?

Wikipedia:
With 65,1 percent it is the most Catholic state in Germany, being one out of two states (the other one being Bavaria) that has a population that is in majority catholic.

That confirms it is a Left Footer holiday then.

Yep, just not those two bits.

Course not Malc, didn’t you ever read the history of WW2?

BF- “You started it”.

German- “Ve did not start it!”

BF- “Yes you did, you invaded Poland”

One of TV’s all time classic lines.
