On the way back I discovered that it was also a holiday and driving ban in France

Luckily we didn’t get spotted and stopped during the hour drive from Longeville services to the Lux’ border. Especially my two stable mates, they had haz’ on.
We thought the roads were a bit quiet on Wed’ morning, we only saw 5 reefers and 2 curtainsiders during that hour

So was the whole of Germany. 
from the A10 total garage to caplin services only pasted 1 truck the police in Lux were still stopping and checking trucks at 815pm (bst) they had the motorway coned off just passed caplin services and had a few parked up on hard shoulder and let only the german ones past, a bit nasty seeing it was only 45 mins till boarder opened into france

Belgium was on holiday, I had a cracking run through on Wednesday morning with no hold ups. According to the women in the services at Ranst it was Mother’s Day. I filled up, left the truck on the pump as I was the only truck fuelling, wandered in to get the points on my bonus card, had a coffee, used the toilet and still no other truck had pulled in for fuel.
