Give it a go then, when I’m sitting in an old peoples home (if I make it that far) I won’t be regretting anything I’ve done in my life, nor will I be saying “I wish I’d,”

If there’s something you really want to do just push the boat out & give it a go, I’m no Valentino Rossi but I’ve raced at BSB & at the 2008 British Moto GP & have some fantastic memories, had I never raced I’d have found something to spend my ‘hard earned’ on.

Ross.

PS, if there’s any advice you need on getting started if you do choose to give it a go, pm me & I’ll be happy to help.

My mates son is currently leading in the michelin power cup with one round left. It costs a bleedin fortune

I love tinkering in my garden and my shed, i also love my chickens, enjoy fishing and brew my own beer, I drink a lot too, not sure if that’s a hobby though lol

I did used to motocross and off road go-cart but sold both when I moved.

Me and the mrs are now looking at a caravan to keep us busy and enjoy a few more local holidays with our new son.

Just built this out of spare parts, An 83 Honda CX650c its kept me occupied for a few months, guess I’ve got to find another project now for the winter months.

Good thread this, always good to see what we all do apart from arguing over POA.

i’m into elderly rusty volkswagens, and own more of them than is healthy. not had the money lately to do anything with them. apparently diy is one of my hobbies too

what rusty vw’s do u have had quite a few my self

i’ve currently got a 1974 1303 (my 1st car!) a 1970 bay and a 1977 scirocco. all of them “awaiting attention” the beetle is resting in a cowshed on a mate’s farm, i just can’t bring myself to get rid of it. the bay was bought from a punter on the side of the m4 after he cooked it, and the scirocco needs a serious amount of welding. i’ve tracked down all the panels for it, mostly nos, just need to find myself a cheap workshop to get it done

stunning! where was that taken? i’d love to see the northern lights again

Git into family history a few years ago searching for my birth family, traced back some lines right back to the 1600’s and links through marriages to Horatio Nelson and George Stephenson (Rocket loco fame). Also discovered that a house I bought in my younger days was the very same one my 2x great grandfather lived in 150 years earlier.

I also spent time volunteering with a museum until work got in the way of devoting a full day a week for them, right now I’m working on some stuff for an exhibition for them due to go live next autumn.
