Sun deck of the Patras to Ancona ferry (takes about 23hrs) and some numpty driver is in hi-viz and safety boots .
I refuse to wear them when driving due to reflections and it’s like wearing your coat indoors , I also don’t wear boots on long drives .
Much of being uncomfortable or fatigued on long drives is poor driving position or inappropriate clothing and footwear.
I think that qualifies for a style over substance award surely
The hiviz camo are for the local hunt beaters to wear-their mates keep shooting them. You know the French-shoot first, taste afterwards. If it tastes like a mate it could be a wild boar-after all they smell the same (apologies to the boar).

High visibility jackets are life savers.
We should wear them all the time.
I also love it when container lift guys wear hardhats when they move the containers. Just incase it drops they are prepared.
Quite often containers collect stones and assorted debris underneath, especially in twistlock appertures so i can see some justification in donning a hat.Less so a berk i saw recently wearing one driving around Southampton docks, even in the cab.Smacks of craven acquiescence on stilts. The type of ‘company men’ who probably enjoy a blue-glove frisking by the ‘security’ tossers that work in that awful dump.
