funny how you pop up to leap to the same/other wazzoks defence…il be dead before anything driving a truck is marketed more automated than conor so i couldnt give a monkeys,hence i couldnt be interested in the link…the fact that you/dr damon posted it only reinforces my desicion not to be assed looking it up…ive never bought a newspaper in the last 40 years at least,though if i find one on the ferry etc,then i just head for the crosswords,i like colouring in those wee boxes with my pen.

Thanks and I am sure you are correct. I know what I know and unfortunately cannot divulge some things as the general public have not been told yet.I do not play a big roll in what is happening but I thoroughly enjoy it and apart from a decent salary the perks are amazing.
Yes it will take time for all this to evolve but the fact of the matter is, it is far further ahead than most realise.
As much as I find the future fascinating it also makes me quite sad because deep down I am one big petrol head!

I don’t think you actually realise that the article that you have linked to, is a big and clever worded advertisement for mr. Sheinman’s investment company, which is based on the old “it’s new, it’s high tech, it’s the future, invest and get rich” etos, where waffle and hot air are whipped up by a man wearing thin spectacles into a frenzy, sold for $billions, and quietly forgotten about when it turns out to be a white elephant.
Self driving trucks will not take away our jobs in our, and probably not our children’s lifetime. It will need a full overhaul of the whole infastructure of transport, including passenger transport and private transport. You can not design/programme a truck that can deliver 20 packs of plywood to a building site in the city…
