Help Identifying an HGV Firm

bullitt:
This bloke is a troll, pure and simple.

His sole purpose of coming on here was to wind up as many people as possible. He knew exactly what sort of reaction his original post would get, the same as the one he posted last year.

Dont give him the time of day, the more you react and bite the more he loves it, it gives him a sense of self importance.

One day, if HE is not careful, his silly games between himself and 44 tonnes of truck will bite him in the backside and magnatom could well become a very squashed Flatatom.!!

Umm, I didn’t post the last thread. I stumbled across it. As for coming on here to wind up…I simply wanted to find the firm. hmm. Who would be the best at helping to identify an HGV firm…mmmm, HGV drivers perhaps?

Steve-o:
I think it’s only a matter of time before the wrong person spots him on the road and resorts to violence. I’m sure it’ll happen. You see, I have seen magnatit on the road. At the traffic lights at Anniesland cross. I think he’s a ■■■■■■ but lucky for him I can keep my cool and not resort to such things. I will however laugh so hard if he does get attacked by someone because if there ever was a person asking for it then it’s him!

So what was I wearing at the time? Where was my camera? I’d love to know if you can spot me and tell me apart from all the other cyclists that use that road!

MrHappy:
And if we’re all very quiet…ssshhhhhhh… and just ignore him, he’ll get bored and go away. The Karma Police get us all in the end don’t forget :sunglasses:

I actually agree with what you said earlier, the thread isn’t too bad, and some fair points have been made. I have no problem with debate and reasoned argument, even if it takes a long time to show you all I am always right…

This is the idiot on the Scottish news

I bet he also uses it to make train/bus spotting that bit easier. Does he use helmet cam while wonking?

Maybe watch your second video posted on here back. You should should take up acting as one of your ‘hobbies’.
I actually felt quite sorry for you after first video but do not anylonger.
.

Get yourself out on a bike and have a lorry pass you as fast and as close and see how you feel.

I have, and lucky thing was he was heading for the quarry where I park. I had a go once I got there and got the “when you can drive a lorry you can tell me how to drive!” I walked away but pulled up alongside him once the lorry was running and asked him “can I tell you now ?” He pretended not to hear me and appeared to have his head in an invisible neckbrace…

LOL! That would have been fun to see!

Just watched the news video, I think he’s got a good point… The cars and pedestrians are total numpties in his clips. Don’t forget he’s a Doctor who could be used to dealing with RTA’s and doesn’t want to be the victim of one himself. If you look at the top of the page, it says PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS FORUM…not many drivers sounding professional to me, which on here is quite sad.

Yes. In HIS clips. He doesn’t go to any great lengths to show the hundreds of drivers who drove perfectly well does he? He’s just one of those ■■■■■ who’s got a bee in his bonnet about drivers and wants to get his smackable face on telly.

He’s not going to post the good driving is he?

I think the idea is that 1 of the stupid stunts pulled by the stupid ■■■■■ in the video can literally END his life.

Now, I do cycle, but only on cycle routes due to all the ■■■■■■■ idiots on the road (seems quite a few of them drive trucks reading this thread).
I also ride a motorcycle and suffer a lot of what this cyclist has been suffering whilst riding a litre class bike that is hardly small and has it’s lights turned on etc. So I fully understand and support what his guy’s oing, because 1 moron in a car or a lorry or a van can make us DEAD! No more food on the table for our family, no more dad / husband coming home, and you think the guy filming it is the bad guy?

Mistakes do happen though, and assuming everyone survives it unscathed, then just hold your hands up and appologise, it’s the arrogant ignorant ■■■■■ that don’t give a ■■■■ that make the roads worse than they need to be.

I remember 1 day, I was riding to work when a car came out of a side street straight in front of me. Woman driving a 4x4, windows still iced up because she couldn’t clear them and put her make-up on at the same time, make-up took priority, on her phone too with a kiddy in the car and she was only going to the school (next to my workplace at the time) to drop her kid off.

Man with camera on his head is “looking for trouble”, yet the Roadhawk camera that has been mentioned on here lately including the “A90 Crash” thread is seen as an excellent new invention that everyone should have?

seen a cyclist on a14 this morning(0.815)heading towards cambridge eastbound.lots of bottle or no brains.surely there are quieter routes he could use rather than a major trunk road at a busy time.I nearly put rush hour but there is no rush on the a14

The guy with the roadhawk isnt uploading every bit of bad driving captured on his camera. Only seems to be the lycra club that enjoy gaffa taping cameras to there helmets, filming as much bad driving as they can then sticking it on youtube when they get home, what this is meant to achieve I don’t know  different strokes for different folks I suppose :unamused:

I’ve read between the lines of FarnboroughBoys’ post and it should frighten The Purple Helmet :open_mouth:

FarnboroughBoy11:
I dont mind cyclists I give them plenty of arse if im waiting to pass and im not fussed how long it takes untill i can However if then i arrive up ahead and the cyclist comes outside of me (he cant come down the inside as ive purposely blocked it off) when the lights go green ive got to do it all again behind him , and this time he will get the horn from me lycra bulging calves and tiny penisis.

Apologies for not being back. Shock horror but I actually have a life away from the internet. Yesterday I had an important meeting to attend and I had some networking to do afterwards.

Let me just clear a few things up. I am not on a wind up. My biggest mistake was possibly posting this in the wrong part of the forum. I am genuinely interested in finding out the company and contacting them. What do I want to gain from that? The same thing I have gained from contacting other companies, confirmation that the driver will be shown the err of his ways, and a commitment to improve their drivers training with regards to more vulnerable road users.
Am I surprised by the reaction here? Not really, although some posters have made suggestions that I will follow up, so thanks for that! Do I think that because there are some idiot on a web forum who like to think they are ‘internet hard men’ (see here The Mind of a Helmet Camera Cyclist: I Should be Dead by Now for a post aimed just at you! Hugs!), that all HGV drivers are idiots. Quite the opposite. On numerous occasions I have pointed out that in general HGV drivers are the best around cyclists. My views on that will not change because of a few knuckle draggers on here, who haven’t managed to evolve beyond the playground.

Will I be posting a link to this from my blog? Of course not. What I will do, and was planning on doing anyway, is discuss the relationship of the view expressed on forums like this (and cycling forums) to the views of those who don’t post on the internet. I think that is an interesting subject.

Am I sad, well, that is all relative isn’t it. I have a lovely family, a nice house, an interesting job (which I may be changing for something even more interesting if a few things work out), and a great hobby with some great online and offline friends. To those who ridicule me, have a look at yourselves and ask, who is sad, you or me?

Anyway if you really want to find out more about me, look at my blog, follow my twitter etc. Unlike nearly everyone on here, I don’t hide behind anonymity, and yet I am the one called the ■■■■■ etc.

Mmmmm.

So its fair to assume then that you take part in a similar crusade to educate cyclists as to the error of THEIR ways? A few clips of the things that cyclists get up to might have gained you a bit more credibility.

I’m sure if you cared to come down and have a ride round London, where you will be surrounded on the morning commute by like minded people, you would no doubt have one of the biggest shocks of your life at the way some of these suicidal cyclists perform.

I can only assume that Carryfast is a member of your club.

Ride safe :smiling_imp:

Brilliant! Cheapo medicals all round?!

I must admit I don’t see a ‘nice car’ as something that improves my life. Yes I have a car, a Citreon C4 Picasso Grand (we have 3 kids), if you must know. Nice, well it does the job and that’s what matters.

Does your quality of life depend on the type of car you drive?

The best company to contact is the DVLA. Simple

Download form V888, send them a copy of the video and enclose a cheque/PO for £2.50

Its very simple.

Why you have come on here is to wind truckers up.
