What is your red? I mean it is a light red isn’t it? Not an orange?

Sort of on the cusp of orange and red I would have thought.
I hope we can agree that it is not “elephant’s breath” though!

It has definitely earned a place in the automotive history, so count your pennies and buy it!

I’m surprised he didn’t put the dolly and at least one pilot car, on the float to return to the yard.

Or did the convoy car double as a film car?

@les_sylphides that would be illegal, but no anyway. Toward the end he said he wanted to get ahead and hide his car behind a bush.

Nice video, but how did he get time off school, must have been in the holidays.
And I love the iconic ‘bush wave’ at around 19.33. :joy:
I still do it now, especially in the forest in this hot weather.

Why the timber n/s/f tyre ?

Scania parking brake, used under licence from Land Rover.

Can see the logic,if it was under the tyre to level the cab for a better nights kip but it’s wedged in front

Auxiliary parking brake

I reckon the scotch is under the wheel because he likes to sleep with head at the steering-wheel end of the cab and doesn’t want the blood rushing to his head if the camber is steep. You think I’m joking don’t you! I’ve met a few drivers like that

Lots of drivers do that on the continent.

I’m guessing the driver got out after his 9 or 11 hours off, took a pic, and put the piece of wood away.
