Still going strong on the preservation scene.
Good article Deano and an excellent resteration job Jspg.
I do like this truck I think if Scammel had entered this unit into the road train market here in Aus they would have had an impact certainly a better truck the the Crusader., but i think a better stronger bull bar would have had to be fitted.

They did sell the S24’s at the kiwi’s though DIG? Or am I completely off the map now…?
How about the S26, was that on the Australian market back then?
Never saw either here in West Aus Patrick maybe the eastern states i don’t know and need someone like NZJamie to answer for NZ,
I Doo like that S24 though a bit longer wheel base with a 1500litre fuel capacity and would have been the ducks nuts.

Some pic’s of what I’ve been up to these past few weeks, had me occupied for a long time, 4 weeks on the road in total, I’m glad I haven’t got any driving to do until January…
Started by going to the UK, tipped a cherry picker, loaded a jet engine in Derby designated for Toulouse, took a empty engine stand with me in Toulouse destinated for Derby, swapped that for a module that was going to Berlin, after that I went to Vienna to pick up a propeller sort of thing for Cardiff, tipped that on a Sunday, had 45h off in Newport, headed to Derby once again to pick up an engine for Oslo airport (Gardermoen), loaded a used rigid for export in Oslo, brought that down to Hamburg, went to a place near Dresden after that to load a case that saw me go back to Hamburg again to tip it… and after that job, set sail to the yard and that was that…
Patrick I.m not going to ask what the Kilometre total was but having some ides of the traffic conditions you blokes have to contend with it made me feel quite fatigued just reading the list. You can have the rest of the year off.
Christmas pressie DIG stretch the second one, sleeper on and off you go.
