What would be the axle display of the FTF? 10 x 4? Is it powered by a 2-stroke GM? Mighty outfit!

You blokes have got your second wind.
Excellent stuff

Just trying to keep it as interesting as possible gents

Aye, 10x4 unit Froggy, although not being original, it did looked the part, last axle is a tag one, and it’s indeed powered by a screamin’ Detroit V8 Diesel!

Would the truck with the viaduct in the background be an Atkinson? Strange cab.

Hi Paul,
I would go with a Krupp cabbed Atkinson, 240 Gardner powered would explain the extended front? Cheer’s Pete

Interesting idea, Pete! However the Krupp Atkinson CLT came with a Rolls 220 so unless it had been re-engined and re-cabbed, it might be something else. Also, not sure that the cab is an extended Krupp: have a look at the pictures on the CLT thread, here’s the link:

And here’s the picture again with a CLT for comparison. Cheers, Robert

An interesting use of the old DAF cab.

I already have photos of this, although I can’t remember where on the net I found them - it’s a Dutch-owned Atkinson with a locally built cab.

The operator was Wassink of Den Haag, and the reg was VB-63-61

I had thought of that cab, but the bonnet was too different. Can’t say the result is a success in matter of esthetics.

Dont think i have posted this one before.

Dear Mr Patrick, pv83, Whippersnapper, Whips, Young un or whatever alias you go by (and these are the polite ones)  ,

this is the kind of Scania I like. Back then, when I was younger, a lot younger, they were my preferred wagon, especially the sound of the V8.
