Not sure how much time you’ve spent living in Scotland but by that comment it appears not long if at all. It’s not like Birmingham or London up here. Fellow white people are the problem nobody else.

all my life,my instinct would be to stop and assist if i saw a woman broken down.
nowadays id never stop unless is was some geriatric old twaddler or something completely mental in circumstances,as you wouldnt know what to expect reactionwise from said stranded female.
they wanted equality so they have it now and it could led to grief approaching the wrong wifey if your in the middle of nowhere.
over in ireland its a different story as the way of life is somewhat more laid back.
i still automatically hold doors open for women and suchlike but at the same time my brain is calculating whether i keep it open for them depending on my perspective of them.
I was driving home from work at 4 in the morning a few weeks ago when I passed an old lady standing by the road in her nightwear. It was minus 2 and on a quiet cut through. I stopped and asked if she was ok, she shouted ‘no’ and was obviously distressed.
In years gone by it wouldn’t have entered my head that this could possibly turn out bad for ME but I did think about it. Sad isn’t it?
Ask her if she wants to get in the warm? No ******* chance. One wrong word from her and I’d be in the ■■■■.I was about to ring the police when a police car turned up anyway.

Whilst I understand your line of thinking, the opposite side of the coin is that I think every man that comes near me is a potential ■■■■■■, when experience tells me that 98% of men are decent blokes that would stop and help out, 1% are dipper-daves and have you laughing at the innuendo yet feel harmless, the other 1% are the ones you don’t want to meet.
I’m not going to change my behaviour or beliefs because of some rare nutters.

Oh let’s just generalize shall we??!!
What makes you say that?
Could’ve been anyone, why didnt you say, Romanian gypsies, junkies, thugs trying to get money for their next fix, !

They were just nasty §hites robbing a woman, ne’er do wells as they used to be called, seeing an easy opportunity to make a few quid !!
Just an opinion,we are allowed those are we not.

Asians don’t roam the streets robbing people here.
White junkies dressed in sportswear and missing the majority of their teeth might try it.
Obviously this doesn’t match your view of the world but that’s the way it is.

That might not fit your picture of the world but thats the way it is and unfortunately, being a bleeding heart apologist doesnt mean you get to ignore evidence to the contrary.

Albion. You’re practically minded but help me out, I’m struggling with this one. I’m not great on how you describe 98 percent of us as “potential rapists”. Even though you counter that thought to yourself by thinking 98 percent are “great blokes” , you still describe 98 percent of men as potential rapists. That is terrible. We’re not potential rapists and I wouldn’t want to be described as such in the first place.
I do get that in the dark, alone it’s natural to be wary and given the context that would be an occasion where you might think that. But I’d like to think people don’t view all men as potential rapists in other contexts.
The problem is society and the Polcie seem weighted. A woman only has to make an accusation and a bloke is figuratively dragged through the town. Same can’t be said in reverse. Too late once the damage is done even if not guilty. I stay away from situations where I’m putting myself at risk. If someone’s life clearly in danger (burning building time) that’s different. Someone by side of road looking vulnerable? I ring the Police. Let them take the flak.

You don’t like people who aren’t white.

Where did I say that? You were quick off the mark with the race card
That’s the problem with people like you. When confronted with evidence to dispute your blinkered view, you immedietly claim racism.
All I did was say your claim it was only white people causing problems was wrong and present you with evidence to back it up. Where you get that I dont like anyone who isnt white is a mystery. Perhaps you could explain it

Freightdog, I’m struggling to see how you’ve interpreted what I wrote to mean that I think 98% of men are potential rapists. I was just trying to say that if you go around thinking that you can’t stop and offer assistance because you might get a dozy cow that causes you trouble, that’s the same as me thinking that I need to view any man coming into my orbit as having ungallant intentions. The 98% comment on men being decent chaps reflects my experience, 1% are dippers
and so far not met the dodgy 1%.(Maybe different punctuation would have helped in the first post).
I hope that clears that up freightdog!

Why the hell would i live in scotland to have my opinion, you get travellers everywhere,or are they only exclusive to england and not allowed in scotland, talk sense fella,i have had a run in with a traveller though and he tried to get £150 out of me personally i refused and he said a quick phone call and he would have 20 mates there in a few min,so i called the police and he disappeared,he couldn’t handle one on one, so i know a little of what the minority of them are, they are not all the same i will say that for the record
