Handing in Keys

I have no problem handing my keys in , I have more important things in my life to worry about.

I have never delivered to a lidls or netto rdc so am only going on what I have been told by people who have and that was it’s tip your self and generally speaking unless you have some kind of urgent or priority delivery you wait your turn anywhere.

But if you say you got to jump the cue and they unloaded it good for you. About time someone stood up to these little Hitlers and made johnny foreigner in the warehouse do some work. Fancy having some stupid wench on reception should be at home doing the cleaning.

…I know this will be familiar to most, but it is not to me.
I will probably delivering to RDC`s this coming week that take your keys.
I have always avoided this in the past by my cunning guile, but I see no option this coming week.
So…How are you to operate the radio, windos, heater etc. in your truck whilst you are being unloaded?

I dont really have the option of waiting in the drivers rest room etc. as I dont/can`t tolerate other humans for any period of time…So how do I keep comfortable in my unit?

I feel this is actually against my human rights, to expose me to such discomforts, whilst at the same time treating me like an idiot who is not capable of any measure of responsibility.

What do other socio/psychopaths do?

Its 50-50 i think.

50% is TM`s being far up their own backside with H&S and 50% is the fact that there are idiots out there that forget they are being loaded/unloading and just drive off, leaving mr forklift driver needing several ops for his broken head/legs and arms!

This might seem like a bit of a stupid question, as a non driver yet, why do they wish to take your keys off of you?

Health and Safety claim its incase you decided to pull off the bay while still being unloaded. I think its because the RDC’s are so big its quicker or more likely it means they have to employ one less person, to have the drivers closer to give them the paperwork, rather than have to either wait for them to come back in or take it out to the truck.

And, according to the forkies, this has happened at EVERY sight that takes your keys off you, and it was always a foreigner too.

1st, it’s ■■■■■■■■, if it happened that often, I’m sure it’d make some papers, at least truck news or some ■■■■.

2nd, if it’s always foreigners (assume they mean left hookers, look at wrong lights or some crap), why not just take their keys? Fairness? Can’t be that, they’re in flip flops whilst we have to wear steelies.

As I said though, I think it’s ■■■■■■■■.
