Why do you now need too hand it back , it’s not as though it can be used again , in the past I used it until I got issued with new company uniform, for working on car , gardening etc
So you can’t sell it to the spotters
Dozy, it is for security purposes as somebody could pretend to be a Stobart driver and drive out the gates with a full load
of booze .

Just in case you pose as a Stobart driver when you’re not.

See when you do a “dozy” at your next firm whack a bridge or summit and the press turn up and see you in your green uniform it would be a bad image for Stobarts even though you don’t work for them. Or you get into a barney at a service station and crack someone’s jaw and you’re wearing a green uniform, bad image. Countless scenarios.
I think the main reason would be security though.
My last company you could keep the uniform trousers and you could keep anything else as long as it was debadge. But who wants a fleece with a big round hole in it
As above,security.
It’s to stop you selling it to the baddies and them rolling up somewhere in a plain unit with your uniform on and collecting that trailer full of something valuable.

Yeh, but who in their right minds would want to ?
Apart for criminal activities as mentioned of course.
The big green undercutting machine had a problem at Rugby with the spotters buying, begging or whatever items of ‘uniform’ and then taking the discount in the café as if they were employees. Now the employees have to produce ID or diesel cards to get the discount.
Not that Dozy would sell the coat off his back…
Unless they owe you a week’s wages doze, they can’t force you to hand it in. Flog it to one of those spotter saddos and make yourself a couple of quid.
■■■■ em I say.
From Stobart’s website…
We would like to ask for your assistance in dealing with the following issue:
Stobart management has received a number of reports of instances where none Stobart employees have been mistaken for employees due to the non-Stobart employed individuals wearing items of Stobart uniform. Any person who visits a Stobart site wearing Stobart uniform who is not a Stobart employee will not be given access to the site regardless of circumstance and will be asked to leave.
The company is also taking action to deal with the illegal supply and sale of uniform and advises all members not to purchase said items as they remain the property of the company at all times thus are classed as stolen.
Finally please note this does not apply to our range of clothing purchased through the Stobart shop which you are more than welcome to wear when visiting our depots

Make sure you use the correct docking procedure. .
Remember if you were issued any personal protective equipment without company logos (boots, hard-hats, gloves, eye protection, etc), they’re yours if you want them, and do not need to be handed back.

And open the back door before you get back onto the bay.
Straight back when empty.
My wife left B & Q on very bad terms and they asked that she return all items. Because there’d been bad blood my missus said if you want it you’ll have to come and get it. They did get all arsey saying she was obliged to return it and they would persue legal action if it wasn’t returned, my missus replied saying they were more than welcome to collect at a mutually convenient time.
They had to admit defeat and come for it. They can’t make you take it back but you have to make it available for them.
It was funny when they arrived to get it, she threw it out of the bedroom window at them and laughed when they had to pick it all up off the drive.
