Following on from the one man trolling operation that is Ross v stobart and his bleating about everything in life. Think he has decided that poa is the devils work. Day cabs and trampers are both evil. 15 hours in day and the next day you are guaranteed to kill a handful of children. Er what else, God I can’t think, but there’s sure to be more.
Then we have the topics about 40 mph and if you stray over this then you are lower than Jimmy Savile.
We also have the strap topics. “I can’t carry those two empty pallets without 20 internal straps and a couple of ratchet straps”
Of course there is the age old “its illegal to have your break while sat in a drivers waiting room”
We have people on here who are vilified for parking in a layby, and it should be law for all trampers to park in msas.
Now my point is…what is happening to wagon drivers? A lot of hand wringers on here, and out there of course. remember in the old days, yorkies weren’t for girls? Well I think some members wouldn’t risk opening the wrapper now for fear of cutting their fingers.
I reckon it’s a t’internet thing Happsack. I know pots of (alleged) drivers through this forum, only via wireless though of course, however I personally have hundreds of friends and collegues that I’ve met face to face over the years and I can with certainty state that if I told a real world mate that I was doing 56 along an s/c whilst wearing no seat belt and rolling a ■■■ he’d not bat an eyelid. Try the same here and you’re gonna be villified by all the hobby bobbies, wanabe driving instructors and men called Nigel!
Maybe it’s the anonimity of a forum or maybe it’s the keyboard warrior syndrome, but there are only a handful on here that I reckon I’d like to sink a few jars with, and they generally call a spade a spade.
How do you wind legs down? Apologies if this has been posted before
If the legs don’t reach the floor you should pull the pin, uncouple all the suzies and airlines and pull out from under the trailer. There will be a big bang but the legs should now reach the floor. Simples
I never do more than 35mph on a single carriageway, it’s a limit not a target. I also never take a 13’9 trailer under a 14’0 bridge as that’s just too close for comfort for me. If any sort of fault ever develops on the truck I’m driving I never attempt to repair it and just pull up immediately, don’t put my hi-viz on as I’m already wearing it, and sit on the embankment until a fitter arrives. I also always only ever park in MSAs as they have a special invisible magic force field protector for lorry drivers surrounding them. Wherever I go another lorry constantly follows me around carrying all the ratchet straps I need for load security since my negligent employer has issued me with a perilously dangerous curtain-sided decker - which should be banned BTW.
happysack:
Ah yes I forgot the bridge height babies!
I agree with Nigel thing too!
It’s the drivers like you that are why we need DCPC.
I also forgot to mention that the police/VOSA are all modern day saints doing an incredibly hard job in difficult circumstances keeping the roads safe for us all. They are only there because if their keen personal interest in road safety and definitely not the generous salary, fat pension, job security and power trip opportunity.
or, for that matter (seeing its a forum) there is the opinion of ,as this post continuation has exemplify , the low brow ,sat at back of class, learned absolutely nothing of any worth to society and when push comes to shove its well i"ll just go drive a wagon" >hate all laws (their for soft boys ,hate any official they are the real loosers!, hate anyone who was not born with an LGV license) ,they just keep hating ,kicking taking a swing at ,and basically exposing themselves for what they are >>Very macho, unprofessional tossers, who define themselves by their finite ability to drive a wagon (as girls now do, thankfully) and having learnt to spell/work a keyboard ,come on a website and think they are funny/bully others, same sort of peeps who take the ■■■■ out of E.stobbart, whilst omitting to realise E.Stobbart is a success, and in life ,no one owes you anything >>>“the mob is always predictable” ,sadly, that is true. i know its diff. now, but when i done my training/test it was 5 days, then test and license, then work , hardly a degree course!>>if i could be bothered , i" d visit this post location later , but i will not, because it is so bloody predictable , (and sad/funny).

I did quite well at school thanks. At least I have a better grasp of punctuation than you appear to.
No history of hgv driving in my family, I moved into this job later in life due to family circumstances.
Eddie stobart? Did I slag the company (that I work for incidentally) off?
