Dalmine - bet a few tonne has been loaded out of there by members on here; RSlicker more than anyone I reckon! It’s now called Tenaris or summat, I saw it last time I caught a plane from Bergamo to UK
Mind you that load looks too high to be useful Bill, we used to (many years later) load 20tonne of small diameter pipe from there and then round to a firm in Milano to load 2tonne of plastic plant pots on top
Dead right , it was round to Mondial Express in the Via Valtellina to top up after taking all the trouble to roll the sheet back nice and tidy.
took this in concorezzo mid 70s
Ah, the Bazargan border! Hey, could that possibly be one of Simon’s F88s behind the red tilt? Blue & white cab so it’s not an impossibility.
The state of the roads in eastern Turkey, eh? But remember when you got into Iran that beautifully smooth tarmac surface was heaven in comparison.
Whats the crack with that trailer LB76 is it all one or a box on a skelly? Just curious as its unusual to see a box van with a rag top? Top pictures by the way I’ve really enjoyed looking at these & the Fridged Freight ones too. Nice one Chap.
That was a box made to Brown’s spec by Tidd’s at St.Neots very light. It had container castings at the corners, the rag top was not that unusual SCA’s had a yard full of them.

I wonder if Willhire ever got their trailer back ?
I dont know if Willhire ever got the trailer back, there was some one who made a living out of fetching dumped trailers back they were usually doubled up andthe superstructure cut off, some managed two and some three
