This Guy must surely have been a yard shunter and not a road going motor ? Cheers Bewick.

Your “barbed” comments about the little 80 really are most hurtful “H” I think I will have to report you to the RSPCS !! Dennis.

Hiya,
Dennis if you can’t offer me at least a tidy Guy Big “J” with a ■■■■■■■ or a Roller
built in I’m not even getting the bike out of the shed Oh’ a Scania 111 would do.
and I’m not bothered about a dossers shed I’m a driver not a nightwatchman also.
thanks harry, long retired.
Here you are “H”,fresh out the paint shop, will this do you ? Sorry it hasn’t got the ■■■■■■■ or RR engine but I’m sure you’ll make “do” with the 240LXB lump !! Day cab, digs! and I think because it is a new paint job it will keep clean for at least two weeks so you will avoid a “bollocking” about not venturing onto the wash bay !!Cheers Dennis.

Hiya,
Spot on Dennis, I’ll get mi’ bike, and I’ll hide it round the back when it’s mucky
either that or I’ll sheet and rope the cab when at home base another thing is a
ticket off the old Adana put through the expenses might just tempt one of the
local ruffians to give the old girl a once over with a brush when it gets too bad.
thanks harry, long retired.
Lawrence Dunbar:
A great selection of motors there, where was the photo taken ? Regards Larry.
0 Its a Tarmac Roadstone publicity photograph taken in Middle Peak Quarry near Matlock Derbyshire
Thank you, That’s very interesting to know, We used to deliver drilling rods there in the 80/90s, from a firm at Chirton North Shields, Happy long gone days Eh, Regards Larry.
Parked in the depot waiting for the extra cylinders to be delivered from Bewick’s shed.
Nice one ROF!!!
David
No,no,no Lads how could you possibly “weld” a couple of LXB cylinders onto the rear of a RR220,which is surely the engine that this BRS Big J would have had under the bonnet. But hey! wouldn’t a shot like this have answered the “Question” once and for all if it had been a 8LXB !! I would have been “eating it” for months eh!
Now let me put you straight, Dennis- as you well know, Rollers were installed in Big Js purely to get them from Wolverhampton to your workshop in the backend of ■■■■■■■■ As most of us old hands know, Gardner 8s were swapped in your workshop using stock from your barn up in th’ills & the RR powerplants were dropped off back in Fallings Park using the dubious practice of “bunging” a Southbound driver a fiver to keep his mouth shut. This is possibly the reason why all cameras except yours were banned on your premises.
