All I’m saying at the moment is this:-If PWK 914M is an original and complete Guy factory-produced Guy Big J4T Gardner 8LXB 240-engined 4x2 Tractive Unit,it is one of far less than 40 Gardner 8LXB 240-engined Guy Big J tractive units which were actually indeed built by Guy Motors!!!

I’ve been saying all along that Guy Motors produced Guy Big J Gardner 8LXB 240-250 -engined tractive units… And now that has been confirmed.

Watch this space!

VALKYRIE.

Dave the Renegade:
M A Evans had a Guy Big J which was a genuine factory built one, out of forty which were made. Smiths of Maddiston had them as their former drivers have stated. But it ain’t no big deal.

Don’t let them wind you up Dave,if I hadn’t driven the 240 Percy Guy back from Newton Le Willows Depot,it would have been a long walk back to North St Cheetham Hill■■?

As you say,no big deal,we know what we know!!!

How can you possibly plead poverty when you’re claiming seven nights out a week and sleeping in your own bed every night?
You wouldn’t catch us old Red & Rusters behaving in such a reprehensible manner!

Pleading the fifth amendment- again!

Not surprised that BRS went “down the toilet” eventually, even with all the copious amounts of Public subsidy it swallowed over the years culminating in “Maggie” " Blessings and peace be upon Her"  giving the whole lot away for 1p per share (worth at the time about £3:60 per share in property alone) But they still couldn’t hack it !! however you just have to think of all those poor BRS employees that would have been on the dole for many years but for BRS as they wouldn’t be able to hold a job down in the real Transport industry. :unamused: :open_mouth:       Dennis.

It’s not chalk you can taste. It’s just the shock of actually tasting beer with a decent amount of alcohol in it as opposed to that weird almost alcohol free free norvern zb.Having said that if it’s got be alcohol free then Becks is about as good as it gets which isn’t surprising being that Bremen is still Norf of Watford. :smiling_imp: :unamused:

Hi Casey, I wonder how our Northern counterparts would have fared at a session chez mine hosts Tonto and Esme in the Lamb with the likes of Bill Greenman (Wallop) Curly Ryder, Jim Allen,Trevor Probert,Lewis Brooks and all the others too many to mention -you know who they are/were but believe me when I was in the get rich quick club and had visited the aforementioned hostelry I certainly knew I had been there because my vit got all tangled up and I kept getting the mucking fords wuddled!

Hmmm. Funny that… what with the hops being grown in Kent, Sussex and Herefordshire. Could it be that swallowing all that black pudding and tripe has soured the taste buds?  :unamused:
