I have found a photo of a Carnforth Truck show in 92/93 of a group of Bewick drivers and my good lady and I believe the little cretin sat down at the fron’t “making faces” is none other than Mart Strickland!!!Dennis.
I think you must have locked yappie and martstricky up in dungeon Dennis,to stop them telling us about your Guy Big J with an 8LXB,because I ain’t seen either on here lately.

Just bye the bye “H” I’ve been sorting out some more photos to-day(you’ll have to bear with me)but I can put various shots on of “moi” doing 30 mph on the raceway as well as at the “helm” of a pair of driving horses from the IOM(no less) also one of yours truly(in top hat and tails) driving our single horse Phaeton which was carrying the young lady,who drove our race horses,to her wedding in Appleby! (and NO she wasn’t a ■■■■■!).Dennis.

I recieved this from David Edwards this morning,the original advert for the 8LXB Guy Big J,third from the bottom in the Guy column.
That advert is defo suspect Dave with the word “fitted” being used! and if it was Chaddesley Commercials,I rest my case! Dennis.
If you cast your eagle eye a couple of places up Dennis,they have also got a Big J with a 220 ■■■■■■■ fitted.Just admit it Dennis,you are on the ropes,it’s only a matter of time before the ref stops the contest .

I never realised you was that old and your haulage experience went back to the time of horses
Yea grew up with them Trev,been kicked ,bit,stood on and oh! got my arm broken as well! good job all the controls on the merc was on the left of the wheel!! Dennis.
