Greggs driver hailed a ‘top guy’ after handing out doughnuts to stranded motorists
uk.news.yahoo.com/greggs-driver … 04953.html
Roisin Currie, people and retail director at Greggs said: “We are incredibly proud of Jon and his act of kindness in what must have been a very tough situation for him and all the other poor people stuck on the A1 in this cold weather.
“We hope that his kind gesture was able to help make everyone’s day a little bit better.
“Well done again Jon, a shining example of how we do things at Greggs.”

Act of kindness?
What we don’t know is Greggs later docked all the doughnuts from Jon’s pay slip
Assuming they were ready to eat its likely that they would have to be thrown away due to the delay getting to store. If so it then becomes cheaper to give them away, as well as some easy pr
Usual story, no steak bakes!!!
Bet he got a DP for not wearing a hi viz
Thats not a picture of him giving them away its other drivers on the rob…
Someone in head head office saw an opportunity for good publicity and he was told to do it. Not a chance in he’ll he did it off his own back.
Seeing this act of compassion other drivers followed suit, however some confusion arose when the Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda drivers kept trying to hand their vehicle keys to complete strangers and request a waiting room to sit in.
The container drivers who had to be woken up due to going to bed 3 minutes after their vehicles had stopped said they would only open the back doors and drop the suspension but did request the tip took longer than 3 hours.
A fight later broke out between the drivers when one of them started a discussion on what Tacho mode to be on and someone mentioned POA.

Excellent.
Where was the puddle jumper driver who wanted to give his doughnuts away first, because “I’ve only got one tray”
One of the drivers tried to do the same thing but forgot to open the back doors first!

Quite possible. Or maybe the driver thought of it, and checked it out with his office first?
Whatever the origin of the idea it seems a good one. Food for those blocked there, plus free publicity, where`s the harm? (Apart from to the waistline).
