Unless Greggs is run by complete idiots (always a possibility I concede) then there’s no way on Earth they could fire him. They may not like what the driver did but good publicity is the lifeblood of a company nowadays , therefore bad publicity is to be avoided at all costs. Ask Gerald Ratner

I agree it sounds cynical but we all know how these corporate types work [emoji57] I would suggest the driver rang his office and said something along the lines of “yeah it’s really bad out here, loads of us been stuck for hours and getting hungry now” office says “are you in a liveried truck or a spot rental?” Drivers say “liveried” office “well, open the thing up and offer to feed everybody but do it near the truck sides”
