That could be my downfall then.
I have a Jabra bluetooth earpiece. From Argos freely bought, it connects 2 phones at the same time i.e. I can be on 1 phone and also take calls from a second phone (although I have to disconnect 1 before answering the other) it will then accept the other call. Same earpiece different mobile phone.
I have phoned my gaffer up about this and he tells me that he has received notification that he can be informed if he wishes any misdemeanors from any of his drivers for a small ‘subscription’ fee if he wishes. Fortunately he has denied it as it’s a family firm and he doesn’t want the politics etc. He also say’s that it is useless outside a 2 mile limit!
As a guess then, if it’s a known vosa point be careful with your phone etc

Well into realms of fantasy land with this one or tell your gaffer he can pay me a small subscription and I’ll tell him whatever he wants!!

The only way your gaffer is going to know what you’ve been up is by either downloading the data off your card or getting the data from the head unit. Have a look at your tacho, is there a wire coming out of the Comm port?

He doesn’t need to take the card out to download the data from the VU, in fact I think with the right equipment he could download your card without ejecting it from the tachograph, either way he would know about any infringements.

That’s nothing to do with the tachograph… I think you’ll find its more to do with the Scania computer package. If you ask they’ll even tell you what gear you were driving in at such a such time. As all this info is stored on the trucks computer… How do you think they could tell when the vehicle was driven off card

It is to do with the tachograph. Their is a button inthe cab to remotely download tacho.
Yes we have computer as well that tells the boss everything. He even reminded me to fill up with adblue recently. As the tacho is on the computer as well then obviously he can access this anytime.

I would suggest he’s using tracker software that’s linked into the tacho head.
