Going to Keilder, Ravenshill to be precise on a movement order grossing about 46 T not particularly wide but 16’3" high
Going via B6357 from A7 what sort of aroad all you local guys
Thanks in advance
Jim
I’m guessing that Chollerford Bridge which is the route I would take, is the no no then?
I use the route you describe. There is a 10t weight limit NE of the Kielder junction so shouldn’t affect your plans. It’s nanny goat trail, I don’t recall any height problems but there is a narrow bridge just North of Kielder village goo.gl/maps/P5vJh
The sort of adventure I love!
Thanks for the reply Hexhome I should be used to nanny goat trails but some are worse than others.
I dont know the bridge you mention , I will be dropping just before Keilder village
If its a well used artic road I’ll get on with it
Thanks again jim

The timber guys use it, you are bound to meet one! Chollerford Bridge is on the main route in to Kielder from the A69.
My wife teaches in one of the local schools, you are entering an area of helpful and cooperative people, enjoy it up there, it’s a lost world.
All done and dusted easy peasy
Hexhome you have a much better standard of goat around here their tracks are luxuriou !!!
I’m now parked in a small lay by just before a village I can see a church I’m about 5 miles from Kielder heading to Corbridge Whats your Mrs look like ?

You will pass her school at Greenhaugh. Honk as you pass, I will ask I am just leaving Hexham for Ludlow. Small world!

Tis very nice up there not too many sped cameras up there
Am I misunderstanding the original question?
If you’re on a movement order, surely the route isn’t up to you, you go which way you’re routed ■■?
Quite right , but sometimes they get it wrong, so just a bit of local knowledge helps especially at 16’3" high !
And I’ve bin known to disobey orders
16’3" ■■
What the hell you taken up there, a wind turbine cell?

Going up to collect same machine and take back to Stang on Friday morning.
I’ll take some pics for you Beefyy but I’m crap at posting Them
Can’t wait 'til they start taking the wind turbine cells up to Longhorsley.
That single track twisty road going downhill will be 'interesting the first time, Ok they’ve trimmed the trees, but looking at them, i think they’ll need a bit more off.
Bluddy 'ell Clive, I’ve only been there once and there’s been an out break of peace!
I’m setting off back there at 5 any flood closures or diversions you heard of ?
Don’t want any aggro today thank you
Jim
I’ve heard of no problems on them roads so far.
We may have to go up either today (friday) or monday 24th to get some of our stuff that’s been off hired…
Plenty of flooding south of Kielder
Mission accomplished chaps , no probs with roads at all thanks Clive
One more machine to get in for christmas and then done
Have a good Christmas.
