Glastonbury !.

Now,that sinking feeling of going back to work,at least you had a good time.

The bbc coverage for U2 was all over the place,on three different channels,so missed bits off one coverage, and each channel interlapped, none of them showed the FULL set of the play list, only Bouncy Beyonce got her whole show shown.
The Vaccines looked good, post breakup ■■■ for a song.

As long as you had a good time it’s all that counts really and Luke, you gotta wear that top hat and outfit in a future video

A mate asked if I wanted to play at Glastonbury this year and last year. I know last year was part of the warm up act for Stevie Wonder.
I can’t think of anything I would rather NOT do than go there!!!

Warm up act for Stevie Wonder? They don’t have warm up acts at Glastonbury. Or are you in a massive band to be playing second on the bill on the biggest stage.

I don’t know the details Luke only what I was told on the phone. It was with Yeovil Town Band who always play on the sunday. Mr Eavis is one of their biggest fans.

I’d rather go camping in Russia than go to glastonbury

Glad you enjoyed some West Country hospitality Luke, last time I was there was 1997(i think),Manics,Fun Lovin Criminals etc.Tried to watch U2 last night on Youtube but Bono ■■■■■■ me off with his preaching so that was the end of that,he’s so far up his own backside. :unamused:

Well I was there, third year running. It’s the worlds greatest festival and just has to be seen to be believed. I love the place and it’s always a sad time when over.

Glad you enjoyed it Luke, the Mrs usually goes but missed out this year, and its something I’m gonna do one day, I just hope I pick a year with some decent weather and no Beyonce

Just to put one thing straight that always comes up. It’s certainly not a corporate money making machine for Michael Eavis. A less corporate festival you’d be pushed to find. The vast majority of profits go to charity. None of the stages are sponsored by companies, they have charity banners.

That about sums up Mr Eavis, he’s resisted the temptation to do it for commercial gain, after the guy has covered his costs all surplus funds are donated to charities, Green Peace have the lions share then local charities and communities, totaling well over a £1million per year laterly, and he hates Tosco :grimacing:
