I haven’t changed my story at all, just made it a bit clearer. But you seem to be good at twisting what I say. Nothing to do with me working and you having a day off, I’m being paid well for it, but it’s easy to come on here and slate people and pretend that you are the perfect driver when you could be anything but. And no I wasn’t expecting a load of foreigner slating, as I said already I don’t have a problem with them I’ve worked with a few before and all were decent lads but you seem to think I do just because I mentioned them. I know I’m right anyway, I don’t give a toss what you or anyone else on here thinks.
No mate you HAVE changed your story, I am not twisting what you say I am QUOTING what you say, all 3 or 4 varying versions of it.
Secondly can you point out where and when I claimed to be a perfect driver? I’ve looked back and no, still can’t see it.
And the ‘foreigners are all decent lads’ bit comes across as a bit pathetic after your obvious prejudice that you displayed in your o p, and if you don’t give a toss what I think why are you attempting to gain back lost credibility by responding to me?

Excuse me O P but when I was running the eu in the 90s this prob often happened on msa,s but I always found it could be amically resolved by knocking on offending drivers door and politely asking if they would move, problem solved.
regards dave.
May have worked in the 90’s mate try it now they just grunt and point at the tacho.you used to be able to get away with moving with the old paper chart but these new fangled thing flash up after a cpl of feet and they are petrified of the fines. Have been proper blocked several time when trucks park at the back of a row of trucks but forgetting about the ones actually in the row behind

Parked up in services yesterday evening and was fairly full with johnny foreigners on their weekly rest. Now usually I will try and park in a front row so I can drive straight out the next morning but as there was no front row spaces left I went and parked in behind a Johnny Foreigner in the back row which I planned on reversing out of in the morning. Later on two more Johnny Foreigners pulled in either side of me but i still had the space to reverse back out.
Got up at 5am this morning to find another Johnny Foreigner parked sideways behind me on the road that goes around the lorry park. It took me about 10 mins, a lot of shunts and I caught johnny behind me’s mirror with the tail of the trailer and broke it but didnt wake him up and eventually got out with no damage to my unit or trailer result!
That’ll teach him to be a bit more considerate when parking in future and he’s lucky I didn’t do any more damage because it was [zb] tight.
Lesson to be learned is use the parking spaces and if not then don’t park where you are going to block someone in! And I’ve learned not to park anywhere that I can’t drive straight out of in the morning

Just waiting on notorious resident keyboard warrior contraflow now
Sorry I’m late; bit hungover. Anyway…

But as always a small minority is what gives them a bad name like the one parked in front of me ■■■■■■■ on his trailer wheel instead of walking the 50 yards to the toilets. And I did get out and look several times.

Sorry about that mate been ret. 14yrs never had a digi tacho that would of course make a big difference.

I’ve met a couple of “johnny foreigners”, one a Slovakian in Southern Germany had the audacity to pull out of a small autohof, just so he could pull back in and come alongside the right way to give me a jump start, wouldn’t take the 10 euro’s I offered him, and on the Dutch Belgian border had a pair of Poles unasked throw their snow chains under my drive wheels when struggling to get traction in the snow, couldn’t even stop to say thank you.
We get slagged off and abused by all and sundry in this job, isn’t it about time we all start to look for ways to help our fellow drivers ? what ever their nationality.
agree with robroy story changed the mirror WAS smashed then just knocked, then when not getting sympathy or any agreeing comment it went ot the normal tnuk ‘it was a troll/tongue in cheek post’.
but it is annoying when your blocked in especially at 5am
Brilliant , 10 minute s and numerous shunts you still managed to clip his mirror ( damaged /broken /smashed . Whichever ) idea for next time , just knock on his door and try to be polite about , if he can’t move why not ask as best as your language skills can muster , him to just keep an eye out whilst your doing ur shunts . Personally if u enter a parking bay forwards knowing that your gonna have to reverse out your asking for trouble .
