Mmmmmmm completion 2011 “maybe”. Still a wee bit away.
Simon , sounds like no a bad job.
but as Andy posted , ye couldnt have set up a depot in the worst part of Glasgow as far a traffic congestion is concerned.
Lanarkshire is THE transport hub of Scotland. Had you decided to set up
around the Bellshill/Eurocentral area , i may have been interested.
are you also looking for warehouse ops or shunters ?
Ehhh, excuse me, but as a ‘Soothsider’, I’d disagree with that last post!!
And the Bellshill area’s already polluted with transport companies, it’s time somewhere else got a chance!!
Andy smg:
I’ve got 20+ years experience driving class 1, good knowledge on fridge work and multi-drop, and looking for a change of company at the moment. There’s only one thing stopping me from applying for a position Simon. The bloody Kingston Bridge. I’d have to cross it twice a day to commute. Best of luck with your recruitment and the new depot though.
I’d heard that the bridge is a bit of a barrier, those who live on the east side of it will only take jobs that side and vice versa etc.
In response to Marty B7’s question we may want a shunter but I can’t be 100% sure as we are starting off fairly small. We will not need warehouse ops as TDG (our warehouse provider) are doing all the warehousing.
Drivers wage rates are now confirmed as:
Monday to Friday days £460 per week
Sunday to Thursday nights £510 per week
I hope Okey Diddly Dokey approves of these wage levels
