I wouldn’t join, quite happy with my lot. Work available when I want it, decent pay and good conditions. If that changed I’d just look elsewhere, but on £12.50/hr basic £15/hr after 12 and a minimum £50/hrs bank holidays I don’t think that’ll be anytime soon

Striking won’t gain anything, and by the time its spun by those in power, will alienate us even more to the general public. As has been said, wages go up so does the costs, so does the end product, so you’ll still be no better off in your pocket.
Fascinating to read all your comments. It was of course a hypothetical question , and as such shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
It’s obvious there is no mood for any industrial action at the moment.
The only thing that bothers me a little is the lack of unity among drivers. But I don’t really think it’s ever been any different here, as we are a free thinking bunch that don’t follow each other like sheep.
It’s worth pointing out that as a group we are very powerful & the threat of action alone should/would get the powers at large to the negotiating table. And that really is the way to go should we ever be disgruntled enough to rock the boat.
