bloodoodle:
Ask any of you that protest about Gays so much what your ultimate dream is and you would say to watch two women in bed together
Nah, my ultimate dream involves 11 blokes all dressed the same, 90 minutes and a big silver trophy.
Unfortunately the two women in bed thing is more achievable.
I can say that personally iāve never had any approach from any of them whatsoever, this could be:
(1) I donāt go out looking for them.
(2) I donāt look gay so they donāt approach me.
(3) I donāt wear high heals and orange trousers.
(4) I donāt get out of the cab a**rse first and stand there wiggling it about for all to see.
(5) I donāt sit in the cab in the evenings with the window open whistling george micheal songs.
Maybe those who see them everywhere, should look in before looking out

Iāll quit while im ahead otherwise ill end up banned.
This isnāt directed at Gurner, but the comment above did slip something in (my mind)
Did the law not recently change making it illegal to discriminate against someone based on their ā ā ā ā ā ā ā ā ā (over and above their gender) ?
Going along a similar thought process, if the topic had been about race, or disability, or *insert any ādowntrodden, picked onā type minority, would some of the subsequent āaggressiveā type replies have been so tolerated ?
Have you noticed these days that any gay-related topic is automatically labelled āpinkā ? For example, electoral votes from gay people are called by politicians āthe pink voteā
Well⦠as gay and lorry driver have now been mentioned in the same sentence, can you guess what I thought the first time I saw one of these trucks?

Just because something is made illegal doesānt then draw a line under it and then sweep it under the carpet.
It is just put there in a naive attempt to stop people debating certain issues.but in the end everybody has different points and prejudices and that will continue to the end of time.
Then there is the FREE SPEECH debate,we are continually told how great our democracy is āEnvy of the worldā apparently yet the government seeks to silence people like the Anti gay and the BNP and various other groups and organisations by bringing in stupid laws.
Then the Country ends up in the mess it is now with people worried about offending āMinoritiesā(like the goverment)so any debate on matters that are affecting the āMajorityā are not ever resolved in Parliament because politicians are too worried if they say the slightest thing ,they will be labelled a Bigot or a Racist
Theyāll be wanting rights and laws protecting Paedophiles next!!!
Its just nice ,that although most of these replies have gone way off topic and its 6 pages long, everybody has put their views across, with totally different sides and predjudices, and to a point uncensored.
healthy debate iād say.
There is a huge difference between ādebateā and persecution.
I have no real problem with someone ānot likingā gays/blacks/paraplegics/etc.
I said earlier what my own personal āissueā is with homo-phobics.
Should our āfree speechā not be tempered by education, tolerance, understanding, tact, diplomacy, respect and dignity ? (to name but a few)
I am a firm believer in free speech. Iām one of the many that have fought in the past, for that principal.
I donāt feel the need to dress up a spade as a shovel, until and unless I am personally aware that the spade would genuinely feel/be insulted or offended.
It would be the spade that had āissuesā - not I.
Iām often mischievous - but rarely malicious.
Of course there are a whole host of differing opinions, views and prejudices. Those differences should be embraced, and nurtured. They are not, however, a reason or excuse for the type of vitriol Iāve read in this thread.
I can see your point too Dambuster, there are a certain few on here who really need to think about what they are saying and seriously grow up!!!
But then you will always get thick ,bigoted ,ill thought out ,1 sided views especially in our āProfessionā(term used loosely)where there are a lot of uneducated cavemen.
If this was a Forum for Professional Professionals i.e skilled āProfessionsā then the outcome would of been dramatically different

No on a serious note a persons ā ā ā ā ā ā ā ā ā /race/religion doesnāt bother me. My girls brother is openly gay and heās a sound lad. very funny when heās ā ā ā ā ā ā cos heās camp (funny camp, not ott), but not camp when sober. Like what was said before its all about your personality etc, not what you get upto in the bedroom or layby or public toilet or car park or ā¦
