i think at 42 mph i would have challenged it as an error, either in the camera adjustment or my on board equipment (tachograph/speedometer).
my boss challenged one on my behalf for 47mph, my tacho showed 39mph, he got a reply saying they wouldn’t pursue the matter any further and not to speed anymore as it was dangerous.
